YEAR 9F THE BEGINNINGS OF THE CHURCH IN N.Z ASSESSMENT.

Learning Objectives:

1.  Students will be able to recognise the contribution of significant personalities, groups and events associated with the establishment and development of the Catholic Church in Aotearoa up to 1890.

2.  Students will be able to show an understanding of the impact, the Marist missionaries had on the establishment and development of the Catholic Church in Aotearoa.

To achieve either an achieved, merit or excellence in this assessment, the following criteria must be met:

·  Research the life of ONE of these early Marist missionaries and present your findings on the accompanying jigsaw piece.

Present your information on the allocated jigsaw piece; all of our research jigsaw pieces will make one large jigsaw showing the Early Marist Missionaries to Aotearoa.

·  HAVE FUN FINDING OUT NEW INFORMATION ABOUT OUR EARLY MARIST MISSIONARIES.

·  You will have some class time but this is an on-going piece of homework.
