We annuallyreview theorganisation of the staff team as we approach the start of a new academic year.

The staff team in the Star Room for the forthcoming academic year is as follows:

The Staff Team - News

Kathryn Pownall (Assistant Manager/Early Years Teacher) will be returning from maternity leave. She will take the leadership of the Pre School in the Star Room.

Sophie has left La Maternelle to take up a position in a nursery closer to home. We are sure you will join us in wishing her much happiness in the future. Kadie, Sally & Cait will continue in their roles within the room.

The Star Room Team

  • Early Years Teacher - Kathryn Pownall will lead the Star Room. Kathryn will be the key person for the Red Stars. Kat will have a day off on Tuesdays.
  • Senior Practitioners - Sally & Kadie. Kadie will be the key person for the Blue Stars.
  • Practitioners - We welcome Rebecca Page to the Star Room team. Becky is a qualified & experienced practitioner who has recently relocated to Wistaston. Becky will be the key person for the Yellow Stars.
  • Cait will continue in her practitioner role, covering the staff on their days off ona Monday, Tuesday & Friday. Kadie will be off on a Monday, Kathryn, on a Tuesday and Sally on a Friday .Becky will work full time Monday - Friday.

  • Recruitment– Claire Brown & Vicki Brown.
  • Training & Supervision of staff –Claire, Vicki, Peter, Will, Sian & Kathryn
  • Special Educational Needs (SENCO) & Equal Opportunity (ENCO) – Vicki, Kathryn, & Sian.
  • Health & Safety – Vicki, Kathryn & Sian.
  • Positive Parent Partnerships – Vicki, Kathryn & Sian.
  • Partnerships with other settings & schools – Vicki, Kathryn & Sian
  • Community Partnership & Fundraising – Sian & Kathryn
  • Early Years Foundation Stage – Early Years Teachers - Vicki, Kathryn & Sian, with the support of the Lead Senior & Senior Practitioners.
  • The Outdoor Area – Jodie
  • Administration – Peter & Will
  • Setting domestic - Mel Davies & Rachel Evans.
