You must receive permission to miss class from the instructor BEFORE you miss class for any of the above reasons. Additionally, if you miss 3 classes with unexcused absences you will not pass the course.

For students who are habitually tardy to class, you will be allowed to be late to 1 class without penalty. The second and third time you are tardy you will lose half of the points for that class period. The fourth time you are tardy you will not pass the course.

Finally, for students who do not participate in class activities or decide to withdraw their attention to participate in other activities (i.e., text messaging, working on other items), you may be asked to leave and will not receive credit for attending that class period.
