HOW DO I QUALIFYFirst of all attend any of the listed shows in the show diary section on our web site www.midarc.co.uk
You should be given a qualifying certificate on the day, if not, don’t worry,
just go on to the web site and register your qualification
Please be aware, you need a separate qualification for each section;
eg: if you qualify for In Hand Showing, to compete in Ridden Showing you will need to qualify again

Open Classes
There are a few Open Classes you do not need to qualify for, these will have an O by the Class number
AWARDS & PRIZES
Rosettes to 6th place, Sashes, Trophies (not in every class) and a variety of other prizes
Finalist Rosettes to all unplaced riders – please take your competitor number to the secretary’s office when you have finished competing to collect your rosette
SPECIAL AWARDS – consisting of;
Judges Award – to be decided upon over the weekend by our judges
Show Organisers Award – to be decided upon over the weekend by the Organising Team
Special Awards to be made on Monday 28th August 2017 at approx 5pm

CLASS 31 MIDARC WALK & TROT DRESSAGE
You may enter the restricted section if you and your horse or pony have NOT achieved a 60% score more than twice before 1st April 2017 in any Walk & Trot Test.
Each Rider will perform two walk & trot tests each, the scores for both will be added together to find the Overall Champion
Tests: BD Intro A & BD Intro B
CLASS 32 MIDARC NEWCOMERS DRESSAGE
Open to all Riders who have not won a Prelim Open Section or any Novice Test
Each Rider will perform two prelim tests each, the scores for both will be added together to find the Overall Champion
Tests : Prelim 7 & Prelim 13
CLASS 33 MIDLAND NOVICE & OPEN PRELIM DRESSAGE
You may enter the Restricted section if you and your horse or pony have NOT achieved a 60% score more than twice before 1st April 2017 in any Prelim Test.

Dressage Results will be announced approximately 1 Hour after the close of the class, prizes will be awarded in one of the outdoor arenas and riders should be mounted for the presentation.

Lunch will be taken after Class 47, Class 48 will start approx 30 minutes after the end of Class 47
CLASS 48 MIDLAND RIDDEN COB CHAMPIONSHIP
Rider any age but must be suitable height and weight for the pony
CLASS 49 MIDLAND MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND BREEDS
Rider any age but must be suitable height and weight for the breed
If sufficient numbers, class will be split small & large breeds
CLASS 50 MIDLAND MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND NON NATIVE TO THE UK

RING 2 MIDLAND SHOWING MASTERS (OPEN CLASS) NOT BEFORE 2.00pm
Judge:
Competitors are required to give a short show consisting of the following elements:
*Three loop serpentine in trot *20m circle in canter
*Medium trot across the diagonal *Free walk on a long rein
*Canter to include a change of rein with trot through X * second halt
This competition will run from 2.00pm to 3.30pm
CLASS 51 O MIDLAND JUNIOR MASTERS
CLASS 52 O MIDLAND MASTERS
The top 6 in each class will then go forward to the Final at the end of the day where the final results will be announced Competitors will not be required to perform a show during the final performance
RING 2 MIDLAND SEARCH FOR A STAR NOTBEFORE 3.30pm
Judge:
CLASS 53 O “SEARCH FOR A STAR” (Open Class)
This Class is open to Lead Rein, Junior and Senior Riders.
An individual show will be required, and the judges will be looking for potential of the horse / pony rider combination. Must be ridden in a snaffle
The top 6 in will then go forward to the Final at the end of the day
where the final results will be announced
Competitors will be not be required to perform a show during the final performance
