How do you write a thesis statement? / I can write a thesis sentence that answers the question presented and will require evidence to support the thesis. / 1. Teacher will present thesis statements and break down the creation of thesis statements.
2. Small groups will develop subpoints for the questions. Each group will write their points on the board.
3. Small groups will answer prompts with thesis statement and subpoints.
4. 1 statement must be recorded in discussion books / QUIZ TOMORROW! / READ CHAPTER 6

How does America create its political identity?
How do people view the American government? / I can describe the development and adoption of the Constitution. / 1. Students will have 20 minutes to complete Chapter 5 quiz.
2. Class will discuss the ratification of the US Constitution, and the development of the federalists and anti-federalists.
3. Class will discuss George Washington and his presidency. / CHAPTER 5 QUIZ TODAY / READ CHAPTER 6

How do foreign nations view the early America republic / I can explain how foreign policy shaped the early American Republic.
