Note:

1.The competition will be run in accordance with the PCA NSW Rule Book (the Blue Book)

2.Riders competing in the State Championships must compete on the day in the “GRADE AND/OR TESTS THAT QUALIFIES THEM FOR STATE NOMINATION”.

3.Riders must be a current financial member of PCANSW

4.Riders competing at state in both equitation and dressage but entered on different horses can compete on each horse in the appropriate event/age group. Please nominate only 1 horse via global entries online and notify second horse & event via e riders wishing to nominate for bothstateEquitation and state Dressage can ride two horses, for everyone else:riders C grade and above may bring a second horse in accordance with PCANSW rules (amended March 2017). Each combination will need to pay entry fee. Second horse non-competitive and must be declared at entry. Higher grade horse is the competitive horse If in same grade competitive horse must ride first

5.No led riders except in the Prepatory A

6.Callers permitted for Preparatory A and 1.2 only, penalties will be incurred

7.Strictly no grading card no jump

8.The Zone 16 Executive reserves the right to change the program if required.

9.Age groups may be split dependant on entries

10.Refunds after the closing date will be given only upon presentation of a medical certificate or vet certificate

HELPERS:

This is a Murrumbateman Pony Club and Zone 16 run event, extra Zone 16 event helpers from participant helpers will be required, all riders must nominate a helper on entry. Associates without helpers can help with Saturday set-up or pack down. No helper means no competition.

Dressage Classes (maximum 2 tests): Riders wishing to be considered for state selection must ride tests they will ride at state championships

  2. Preliminary 1.1 (riders under 11 wishing to be considered for state selection)
  3. Preliminary 1.2(riders under 11 wishing to be considered for state selection) & (riders 11 to under 13 wishing state selection)
  4. Preliminary 1.3(riders 11 to under 13 wishing state selection) & (riders 13 to under 15 wishing state selection)
  5. Novice 2.1(riders 13 to under 15 wishing state selection) & (riders 15 to under 17 wishing state selection)
  6. Novice 2.3(riders 15 to under 17 wishing state selection) & (riders 17 to under 25 wishing state selection)
  7. Novice 3.1(riders 17 to under 25 wishing state selection)

Equitation Classes: Riders wishing to be considered for state selection must ride heights they will ride at state championships

  1. E Grade (45cm) (Associates are permitted to ride in this event)
  2. D Grade (60cm)
  3. D/C Grade (75cm)(riders under 13 wishing to be considered for state selection)
  4. C Grade (85cm) (riders 13 under 15 wishing state selection)
  5. Junior C Grade & above (90cm)(riders 15 under 17 wishing state selection)
  6. Associate C Grade & above (95 cm)( riders 17 & under 25 wishing state selection)

SCORING:

10 points for 1st place down to 1 point for 10th place for each event.

AWARDS:

  • Ribbons to fifth place in each individual event.
  • Age championship awards
  • Dressage: club team championship competition, first to third place- Bicknell Perpetual Trophy awarded to the champion club team (only riders competing in required level of test eligible)
  • Equitation: One club team championship competition,first to third place.Teams will comprise a maximum of four riders from the same club and aminimum of three riders. Maximum of 2 riders in each grade scores will count.
  • All awards are open to all competitors. i.e. riders from outside of Zone 16 are eligible.
