An outbreak response plan should be drafted as soon as possible after case notification. This template may be used by the country EPI team and outbreak coordinator. The initial outbreak plan should be for a duration of 3 months but the plan should be updated and expanded as necessary. The audience of this plan is Ministry of Health staff and in-country and external partners including WHO and UNICEF.
