Approval of Minutes

• The minutes from the November 10 meeting were approved.

Principal’s Report-Dawn Greenacre

• Movie Night was a huge success!

• Franklin Mall Project is still running through Wednesday, December 16.

• If you have any goods to donate, please send them in soon.

OLD BUSINESS:

1. Ongoing Fundraisers

A.  Box Tops-Deb Kading and Lori Krienbrink

• The totals are in – Congratulations. Mrs. Dougherty’s class earned first place with 1,395 Box Tops. Mr. Mager’s class earned second place with 1,045 Box Tops. Mrs. Johnson’s class earned third place with 770 Box Tops. Thank you to all! We have raised $1,494.40 from Box Tops. Keep up the great work!

B.  Campbell’s Soup Labels-Lori Wesson and Suzann Spartz

• The contest runs through December 18. Totals are still pending

C. SCRIP-Heather Olson and Laura Zieman

• The November SCRIP order sold 270cards for a profit of $399.80.

• We sold 236 for the first December SCRIP order, for a profit of $255.14.

• The next SCRIP order goes in on Thursday, December 10.

• The totals are in for the contest. Mrs. Schmitt’s class earned first place with $328.80 in profit. Mrs. Dougherty’s class earned second place with $49.70 in profit. Mrs. Winckler’s class earned third place with $38.70 in profit.

D. Tyson Chicken Labels- Penny Landers

• Penny will continue to monitor.

2. Teacher Breakfast/Gifts- Penny Landers

• The teachers’ breakfast has been moved to Thursday, December 17.

• We will be serving the teachers their breakfast at 7:30am and also distributing their gift cards.

• All are welcome to help us serve and distribute.

3. Sing-Along/Candy Canes

• Penny has submitted the request for donated candy canes from Walmart.

• Lori has secured Santa and he will visit the afternoon event at 1:00 p.m. All are encouraged to attend.

• The classroom parties will follow the Sing-Along event.

4. Movie Night - Penny Landers and Suzann Spartz

• The movie night was a success. We had about 72 people attend. The fresh popcorn and

raffle prizes were a big hit!

• Thank you notes are going out this week.

• An extra special thank you goes out to Ms. Dougherty for all her help with Movie Night.

• We collected many items for the Franklin Mall Project. Thank you all who donated.

• Congratulations Emily Vegrzyn , she won the DVD of “Home Alone.”

5. Spirit Wear- Suzann Spartz

• We still have some Spirit Wear items to be picked up. A total of 19 orders were purchased.

6. Santa Shop- Heather Gomez

• The Santa Shop began Tuesday , December 8 and will continue till Friday, December 11.

• The children were able to view all items available and will begin their shopping.

7. Newsletter- Andrea Barker

• Please submit any newsletter items to Andrea.

• The next newsletter will be a combination of January/February events.

NEW BUSINESS:

1. Reading Night

• Reading Night is scheduled for Friday, January 29, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

• We are in need of a chairperson for this event. More info to come.

2. Teacher Appreciation Week

• Teacher appreciation week is scheduled for February 16-19.

• We are in need of a chairperson for this event.

3. Teacher Adoption Day - Heather Olson

• Teacher Adoption Day is scheduled for Wednesday, February 17, 2010. We will be

needing volunteers for this event.

4. Teacher Requests

• Mrs. Deb Mason has submitted a request for Leap Frog DVD's for her kindergarten students.

She is requesting 4 to 6 copies of 2 different editions. Ms. Greenacre will look into DVD

options. Overall request approved pending Ms. Greenacre’s response.

• Mrs. Bergthold has clarified her book request and second grade books will be purchased

for $199.00.

5. Vice President

• Suzann Spartz has resigned from the Vice President position of HOP.
