QUALIFICATIONS
I work at institutions that offer professional environment for their employees and quality education and dedicated service for their students and communities.
Through work experience, I was able to upgrade the skills of students with learning disabilities to the regular grade level of competence and social growth. That was exhibited in standardized test results as well. I assisted chairpersons with conducting their professional development training. I also assisted in the curriculum development of a language program for a technical school. I attended several professional development in-services that covered various subjects ranging from management strategies, to resolving conflict, to assessing learning styles, to motivational techniques which I did incorporate in my work field. I helped mediation processes resolving conflict among employees as well as between employees and parents. I was an active member of various committees in my work field that dealt with discipline management, reform, and curriculum development where I devised a discipline management plan assigning responsibilities and duties for all employees and also devised a reward system for successful achievers. I did solicit opinions and input and communicated suggested plans for reform in the areas of scheduling and character development curriculum. I did serve as the school Contest Committee Chairperson, new Special Education teachers’ mentor, Technology Leadership team member, and an administrative designee in Special Education meetings. I enhanced positive communication between administration and parents, and being the only Arabic speaking bilingual employee on campus, I critically assisted in communication with native Arabic speaking parents by translating to and from English and Arabic.
