GPC-AACN Board Meeting
January 3, 2013
Attendance: Vivian Gowan, Tracey Loudon, Missy Thingelstad, Makayla Cordoza, Linda Myers, Anna Mulessa, Karen Godbole, Jenny Cloud, Lindsey Rios, Tonya Roth, and LuAnn Staul.
Meeting called to order at 5:15pm.
Mentorship for Philadelphia Chapter/Vivian
Prior to symposium we were in contact due to each chapter sponsoring a symposium. Vivian will contact their president to determine continuous needs.
Strategic Goals/Vivian
Goals dispersed and reviewed. LuAnn will post on website.
November minutes reviewed and approved. Continuing to look for October minutes, if you have them please email Vivian or Jenny.

November 2012 Treasurers Report:

**Symposium finances not finalized (payment to OSCCM and Donna not completed).
Do we make credit card expenses an operating expense for the chapter or for each committee? The treasurer will submit final figures for this expense and the board will discuss at the next budget meeting.
2012 Symposium/Makayla
Financial report dispersed and discussed. Total income: $146,660.50, Total expense: $119,331.40 (hotel: $89,555.49, speaker honorarium: $16,333.95, miscellaneous: $13,441.96), Total Profit: $27,329.10 GPC profit: $19,130.37, OSCCM profit: $8,198.73, OSCCM bill to GPC: $5,730.45, OSCCM total due to GPC: $2,468.28. Not a final report.
NTI Scholarship for Chair and President Elect/Vivian
In the past the Symposium Chair ($1,000), Chair-Elect ($750) and Past Chair ($750) and President-Elect ($1,500) have been given scholarships to attend NTI. LuAnn motioned for Symposium Chair, President, and Treasurer receive $2,000 scholarship, Symposium Past Chair and Chair-Elect will receive $1,500 scholarship to attend NTI 2013. Jenny second, all in favor, motion approved.
***FYI: NTI flights from Portland to Boston are $475 non-stop on Alaska Airlines
Education/Diana via Vivian
Member Appreciation: Kate and Karen are working on the March Event. They have a preliminary flyer but want to finalize it this week. I have sent a reminder also, since we have had our first inquiry already. They are working with Donna and in the learning process.
CCRN/PCCN course is January 14,15, 2013 at Legacy Meridian Park. We currently have 80 attendees and anticipating 90 by Monday. Food has been ordered, Chris Schulman is ready and things went to the printer Friday. It looks like another successful event. I will attend both days as I am working at LMP those days so will walk Kate and Karen thru the process. Donna will be attending on Monday only and the rest of us will get the applications together as in the past, and back to Donna for processing. Let me know if you have any other questions I will be shopping for the goodies today.

Publication today or tomorrow by Donna. Preceptor conference photos not received and therefore not included. Next newsletter submission deadline March 16 for dispersement April 1.
