Subject Line: WBCSD would like to showcase your leadership on LCTPi
Dear ______,
Thank you for your leadership in the Low Carbon Technology Partnerships Initiative (LCTPi). Your willingness to seize this opportunityis a source of pride for WBCSD, and we think it should be for others too.
In order spread the word, we want to help your communications team design a short video that illustrates how your commitment to LCTPi is positively affecting your company, your employees, your business – and the environment.
We’re calling this video series “Cure for Climate.” We’ve called it that because we believe the LCTPi will deliver transformational technologies that can solve the climate challenge.
We want to hear from your employees about the work you’re doing to help develop a cure for climate, and about their enthusiasm for working on LCTPi related projects. The overall aim of these videos is to provide a platform for you to share your sustainability work in a new and exciting way that speaks to large audiences.
We invite you to go out into the workplace and create a short 1-2 minute video by asking your employees these questions: How does it make you feel to know that [company name] is developing a cure for climate? Why do you feel this way?
There will be two end products:
1)Your company’s individually produced video of 1-2 minutes. We will work with you share these individual videos at strategic opportunities in the run up to COP21.
2)A selection of clips from various companiesthat we will edit into a short film that can be widely shared, to be aired at the WBCSD Paris Council Meeting this December.
Your video and the final compilation videowill be circulated through our communications channels and across our global network to generate momentum for LCTPi in the lead up to COP21. Wealso encourage you to share the video with your network toenhance global support and to push for meaningful action this December, and we’ll work together with you on timing.
We’d like to share the first individual company videos in conjunction with World Climate Week in New York City starting 23 of September, so we are seeking a first batch of 1-2 minute videos byWednesday 16 September.
We have attached a set of director’s notes to inform quick and easy production of your individual video. Please email Juliet Taylorto let us know that you will participate, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions.
We look forward to spotlighting your sustainability leadership.
Sincerely,
WBCSD Communications
