The drawing for a winner is almost here! Mr. Waber will be at all lunches today, and Tuesday and Friday next week. That means that you only have 3, yes only 3, chances to make your guess on how long all the strings of ties will be. The$30 will get you and a friend in to seeSolo, A Star Wars Story in 3-D. So,all you procrastinators,get your $1 ready and see Mr. Waber at lunch.
EIGHTH GRADERS, tickets to the Masquerade Ball will go on sale outside the cafeteria during your lunch periods, startingthis Friday!! Tickets are $10 each, and if you buy them during lunch times, you get 3 raffle tickets for all of our great prizes. If you buy them at the door you only receive one raffle ticket. Don't miss this fun party and last big event of the season! If you don't like dancing, come play outdoor games in the courtyard, weather permitting! Food will be provided!
Hi LMS! Don’t forget to go to Chick-Fil-A starting Thursday May 24 (see Schoology or your teachers for the ChikFilA Schedule) for our friendly competition between LMS and DMS. ChikFil A will donate a portion of each purchase to our Unity Day Alex’s Lemonade Stand fundraiser. To add to the fun, we are going to have a little LMS competition as well by bringing back HOUSE WARS! Every time you go to ChikFilA next week, find an LMS teacher and sign your name on Your House List. The LMS House (A,B, C,or D) with the most ChikFil A attendees will win a popsicle party on June 1st.
Any student who has not cleaned out their gym locker MUST do so by Thursday, May 31. After May 31, all items left in the gym locker rooms will be thrown out.
8th graders going to Dorney on May 30 ~ All students will leave from here at LMS.Pick-up on the return will be at 2 locations to help with traffic congestion. The 8A and 8D teams will be returned to the lower parking lot at East High School (the entrance is on Devon Dr. across from the entrance to LYA). The 8B and 8C teams will return to the gym side at LMS. Please inform your parents which location you will be returning to. Pick-up is at 6:30 pm.
Sign-ups for the large group games at Unity Day are now happening during all lunches. If you are interested in participating in the wacky relay, tug of war, sling the chicken, or tunnel ball events, please sign up during your lunch period. Let’s make this Unity Day the best one yet!
Are you moving or transferring to a school not in the Downingtown School District over this summer? Please visit the Guidance Office to add your name to list of students who know they will not be returning. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Martin in the Guidance Office
**Any student interested in trying out for a Fall sport at LMS including football, cheerleading, volleyball, boys and girls soccer, cross country, and field hockey: in order to try-out you must have a physical dated after June 1, 2018. You may get that physical from your personal physician, a walk-in clinic or from Dr. Brennan at East high school. The dates for Fall physicals provided by LMS are June 4 and June 7 at 2:45 at East High School. Please bring a check to Dr. Frank Brennan for $25. You must bring the completed packet with you to the exam. Forms are available in the lobby or can be downloaded from our website.
8th grade girls lacrosse players: Please return your uniforms and jackets to Mr Creighton by Tuesday 5/29.
8th grade boys interested in playing soccer next year at the HS: There will be a brief meeting in the gym during organizeon Tuesday 5/29.
