Spirit Day: “Pink Day”

From Principal:
Picture day is Tuesday: This is for Make-up/Groups/Re-takes. If you are doing retakes you will need to bring back your unaltered picture packets, to hand to the picture people, not the front office. Students that are in groups will have passes sent to them.
We have an assembly on Wednesday (Late Start). Students will go to class first to take attendance. Leave your backpacks in the room; you will be returning to first period.
Federal Impact Aid Survey will be distributed on Wednesday during 1st period. It is VERY important that you have your parent/guardian fill out this card completely, sign it AND return it on Thursday. The first class in each grade level with 100% turn-in on Thursday will receive doughnuts AND when you turn in your card Murray receives money which means more supplies, equipment, etc.
No School/Holiday Monday, October 9th. Enjoy your 3 day weekend.
Chess Tournament Monday, October 9th 8:30-1 at Gateway. Murray is currently in 1st place in the middle school division, so plan to attend and support Murray.
From Asst. Principal:
Bus Passes: if you forget or lose your ID card/bus pass you will be allowed 3 courtesy passes for the whole school year. If you need a courtesy pass get it at your lunch not after school. After the third courtesy pass you will be required to purchase a one day pass for $1, walk home, or call your parent for pick-up SO keep your bus pass in a safe place AND don’t lose it!
ID replacement fee is $5. If you lose your ID card please go to the front office, at your lunch.
Attention to all students riding buses: Riding the bus is a privilege. Any inappropriate behavior, such as throwing things, getting out of your seat, profanity, pushing, shoving, or fighting on the bus will result in bus suspension and possible school suspension or both. Appropriate behavior is expected at all times. You will be held accountable for your actions. So DO THE RIGHT THING!

Friday Spirit day; show your pink for breast cancer awareness by wearing as much pink as possible.
Don’t forget we would love to see your spirit, so come on down to the fashion show at your lunch and strut your pink.

Rachel’s Link leaders, 6th grade advisory lessons during 1st period.
On Tuesday, there will be a Rachel’s Link Meeting in room 45 at 10:45 during 4th lunch and in room 15 at 11:45 during 5th lunch.
From Volleyball:
Most of the “home” games are held at Monroe Gym. There is a minimal fee to attend the games: Adults $3, Students $2, Children 2 and under are free, students w/ASB card are free.

From Yearbook:
Attention 8th Graders: Please bring your baby pictures to Mrs. Abshire to be put in the yearbook as soon as possible. Pictures are due byFriday, October 20th. Make sure your name is on your picture.
