LOCATION:Village of Pleasant Prairie RecPlex, 9900 Terwall Terrace, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158
FACILITY:10 Lane, 50 meter indoor competition pool. Permanent starting blocks (within the USA Swimming regulations). Water depth is 7 feet 6 inches at starting end. Non-turbulent lane lines. Colorado timing system. Four color 10 lane electronic timing display. Seating capacity for 650 spectators. The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming.
MEET SCHEDULE:
Saturday and SundayMorning:13/14 and Senior:warm up 7:00am Meet starts:8:00am
Saturday and Sunday afternoon: 10 & U and 11/12: Warm up – starts directly following theam session-but not before 11:45.
Positive check in will close 20 minutes after the start warm up each session
WARM-UP:All Illinois & Wisconsin Swimming warm-up and safety procedures will be in effect. The host club will post additionalwarm-up information on their website as needed.
CONDUCT:The use of audio or visual recording devices, including all cell phones, is not permitted in the changing areas,restrooms, or locker rooms. Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than inlocker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is prohibited.
VOLUNTEER ASSITANCE & OFFICIALS:Teams will be asked to assist with timing and officiating. Please include names and phone numbers on the enclosed volunteer form. Certified officials should contactScotWarren at .
ELIGIBILITY: Only USA Swimming registered swimmers are eligible. All swimmers must be registered prior to entry deadline. Entries listed as “Registration applied for” will not be accepted. Registration forms can be obtained from:Illinois Swimming, Inc.
USA SWIMMING, INC MEMBERSHIP:Insurance regulations require that all swimmers, judges, starters, and referees be a current member of USA Swimming. It is each club’s responsibility to register their swimmers, coaches, and officials. Swimmers, coaches and officials who are not current members of USA Swimming may not participate in the meet or be on deck.
COACHES:All coaches must be currently registered with USA Swimming and must continuously display their current USA Coach Member registration card while on deck.
ENTRY DEADLINE:Entries will be accepted by the Entry Chairperson until February 10th, 2015E-mailed entries are the preferred method of entering this meet. You may e-mail your zipped Commlink files to the Entry Chairperson beginning at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 20th, 2015.
RULES: USA Swimming Rules and Regulations will govern the conduct of this meet and serve as the official guide for technical and procedural rules.
It is the swimmers and coaches responsibility to acquaint themselves with all of the information contained in this information book
102.8.1 B – In swimming competitions, the competitor must wear only one swimsuit –in one or two pieces except as provided in USA Swimming rule 205.101.1 All swimsuits shall be made from textile materials. For men, the swimsuit shall not extend above the navel nor below the knees, and for the women, shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulders, nor extend below the knee.
202.3.4 A: At a sanctioned competitive event, USA Swimming athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-up, competition, and warm-down. The Meet Director or Meet Referee shall assist the athlete in making arrangements for such supervision.
Any swimmer entered into the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.

ENTRIES:We will use Hy-Tek Meet Manager for Windows. All entries must be accompanies by a hard copy printout of your Commlink entry data file or your information filled out on the entry form provide by Alligator Aquatics within this packet. A completed and signed Summary Fee / Release Form provided in this packet and payment in full must accompany all entries. Checks are to be made payable to Alligator Aquatics
All events will be timed final events.PLEASE SUBMIT ALL ENTRIES IN SHORT COURSE YARDS ONLY.
E-mailed entries are the preferred method of entering this meet. You may e-mail your zipped, Commlink II file to the Entry Chairperson at eginning at 8:00 a.m.Tuesday, January 20th, 2015. A completed and signed Summary Fee/Release Form and entry check must be received within three business days of receipt of the e-mail.
ENTRY FEES:Individual Events, per swimmer -- $5.00,A perathlete surcharge of $5.00 will be charged ($3 for WI swimming and $2 for the facility)
EVENTS: Each swimmer may swim a maximum of four events per day. The 1000, 400 IM and 500 free will be swum fastest to slowest. Host club reserves the right to swim up to one additional heat of their own swimmers in each of these events.
POSITIVE CHECK-IN:Swimmers must indicate their intention to swim before each session by checking in with the Clerk of Course. Swimmers that fail to check in will be scratched from their events. Swimmers that fail to check in may be placed, at the Referee’s discretion, in the meet if they can be accommodated without delaying the meet
EVENT LIMITATIONS: Host club reserves the right to limit events so as to fit the time line.
AWARDS:Individual swimmers in the 8 & under, 9/10, 11/12, and Senior age groups will receive awards for 1st - 16th place.
ADMISSIONS: Adults (10 & under free)--$5.00. Heat Sheets--$3.00 per session.
CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be available for spectators in the balcony area. A swim supply vendor will also be available during the meet.
MEET RESULTS:Results will be emailed out to attending teams as well as to Wisconsin Swimming
INFORMATION LOST & FOUND: An Information/Lost & Found booth will be available at the lifeguard office.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE:Medical assistance will be provided at the facility. Thoseneeding medical assistance should go to the Lifeguard office.
PARKING: Fees for Parking are established by The RecPlex. It isexpected that these will be $5.00 per day. There is free parking available within walking distance of the facility.
HOSPITALITY: Coaches' and Officials' hospitality will be available throughout the meet in the Hospitality Room just off thepool deck.
FACILITY NOTES: The following rules will be strictly enforced
- NO chairs in the balcony areas. Ample bleacher seating is available
- The RecPlex is designated as a smoke free zone. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the facility or outside of the facility on building grounds
- No food or drinks, with the exception of plastic water bottles, will be permitted on deck
- Due to USA Swimming Insurance requirements ONLY swimmers, coaches, officials and volunteers are allowed on deck. NO EXCEPTIONS
- Anyone caught abusing the facility will be asked to leave immediately. Teams will be billed for any damages caused by their swimmers.
