Candidates must be active AFCEA members affiliated to the Aberdeen Chapter, willing to commit a large number of volunteer hours to support the Chapter’s operation. All roles carry 1-year terms, though the Executive Vice President holds a 2-year term before rising to President. Describe yourself (bio, career, interests):
I am a determined, highly motivated professional currently supporting several C4ISR customers in the APG community. In my current role, I perform a myriad of activities including business development, capture management and program management. I am very passionate about STEM and supporting the local community. I like to network and lead successful teams. Outside of work, I enjoy sports, coaching and spending time with my family.
Describe your past/current support of AFCEA (including other Chapters and International):
I have served the AFCEA Aberdeen Chapter for several years in various roles. I am currently the VP for Programs and prior to that, I was the VP of the Young AFCEAns. I have supported and volunteered at several AFCEA Conferences as well as participated in many initiatives to continue the growth and success of the local chapter.
Describe your goals should you be elected to serve on the EXCOM:
My goal would be to continue the great work of those before me and to continue to propel the chapter to the next level. I want to ensure that AFCEA Aberdeen remains the “go to” professional association in the area. I will strive to help grow the member base and look for thoughtful ways to engage our members and provide value add for joining our chapter and attending our events. I will work diligently with the President to ensure that I am fully prepared to assume the duties of President when they are bestowed upon me.
