Dear Parents,
Vacations come for enjoyment and relaxation. If relaxation is intelligently mixed with work, it becomes more enjoyable. This is not exactly homework but fun work to keep the children busy and happy during the hot dusty days. Parents are requested to guide the children while doing these activities.
HOLIDAYS HOMEWORK
ENGLISH
- Prepare all the chapters done so far in the class.
- Prepare the play ‘The Proposal’ by Auton Chekov
- Collect old and used tickets of bus, trains, plane, cinema etc. tickets to cultural events. Make a collage using as many as possible of the tickets collected on a A-4 sized sheet.
- Visit the website wwf.org.UK/core/wildlife – to know more about otters and other conservation project.
- Prepare a project on the novel ‘Tom Sawyer’ written by Mark Twain.
MATHS
- Revise chapter Real Numbers, Polynomials and pair of linear equation in two variable in a separate note book. Do at least 20-20. All examples given in NCERT book.
- Make one project on any one topic of SA-I.
DRAWING
- A-4 size sheet – 1 slogan in Hindi .
- Six corners with florescent sheet
- One poster (any topic) on full cartridge sheet.

1. Read first three chapters mark the difficult words and make a colourful dictionary with pictures.
2. Make a presentation with some special effects on topic ‘All devices which is used in calculations.
3. Make a collage on information of computers.
4. Open MS Word and create a new document with the text matter given below:
Use the following parameters:
· Font type : Comic sansz
· Font size : 12
· Alignment : Left
· Use at least two pictures / clip arts of computers (One realistic and other cartoon).
· Give a suitable heading / title to the text using WordArt feature.
· Take a print out of your document on A4 size sheet.
5. Make a model of Palmtop/ Notebook.
