The Fire Prevention Office is generally open Monday through Friday from 8AM till 4PM and is located at Fire Dept. Headquarters, 10 N. Main St., Belchertown. Since Belchertown Fire does not employ a full time fire inspector the firefighters may also be required to respond to emergency calls and sometimes inspections are postponed or cancelled because of this.
As of January 1, 2014 the following fee schedule is in effect:

Fire Report Copies - $5.00
Fuel Tank Removal (underground) - $25.00
Oil Burner Permit - $25.00
Open Air Burning Permit - $10.00
Propane Tank Inspection - $25.00
Smoke Detector/CO Detector Inspection - $25.00
