Evaluation for NETZ Bangladesh’s livelihood programme, Bangladesh
NETZ Bangladesh announces an open international tender for an evaluation of its development programme focusing on the economic and social empowerment of extremely poor families in northern Bangladesh and the NETZ livelihood programme in Bangladesh as a whole.
The developmentprogrammecombines the need-based transfer of assets with a broader rights-based approach and focus among other things on strengthening the self-help organisations of the beneficiaries as well as onhanding over the project-related responsibilities to them. This innovative approach requires a detailed analysis of the target group’s current situation as well as of the previous successes and challenges of former project approaches. A broad-based external baseline evaluation combining quantitative and qualitative methods will be conducted by a 2- to 3-member international team in order to create a deeper understanding for specific aspects of the economic and social foundation created in previous projects and to further develop specific measures tailored to the needs of the target group.
Through the analysis of two projects under this programme and evidence-based recommendations, the evaluation will help NETZ and its Partner NGOs to improve its sustainable long-term strategy for the support of the target group and to design more efficient development interventions.
