Service Description

Provides financial assistance via low interest rate loans to low/moderate income homeowners for home improvements needed to bring their homes into compliance with the Broward County Minimum Housing Code. Service Description

Free recycled latex exterior paint is available to Broward County residents through this recycling program. It is intended for non-profits or residential use only. To receive free paint, contact your city at the phone number listed below and ask for the paint recycling program coordinator. Latex exterior paint is available only in beige, light gray, terra cotta or turquoise, in five gallon containers and up to 20 gallons per households. As there may be color variations between batches, paint should be requested in adequate quantity. More than one color may be requested in the same order.

Service Description

VA provides grants to servicemembers and veterans with certain permanent and total service-connected disabilities for the purpose of constructing or modifying a home to meet their unique housing needs. The ultimate goal is to provide a barrier-free living environment that affords a level of independent living that the veteran or servicemember may not otherwise enjoy. The program was expanded to cover veterans and active-duty military personnel with service-connected amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Service Description

Home Touch provides carpentry, plumbing, electrical and other minor repairs necessary to preserve health and safety and accessibility at home to clients 60 or older in owner occupied homes. Priority is given to low-income elderly. Financial and material donations are accepted. The Home Touch Program is administered by the Broward County Minority Builders Coalition, Inc., and funded by ADRC.

Service Description

Designed to provide minor home repair assistance to very low, low and moderate income property owners who live in existing eligible homes in Lauderhill. (Single-family homes, townhomes, condos and villas). Planned repairs must fall into guidelines set forth, including corrections of code violations, abatement of health and safety problems in the home, removal of lead-based paint/asbestos hazards; repair/replacement of water heaters, electrical work, heating and air-conditioning, weatherization issues, etc. Applications are available at City Hall or by email request (). Once all required documents/copies listed in checklist of application are obtained, appointments must be scheduled. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CITY WILL NOT MAKE ANY COPIES.

Service Description

Provides free home repairs and improvements customized for the needs of the family and the condition of homes for low-income elderly and disabled homeowners, members of the military, veterans and their families. Activities are typically plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring and appliances. The objective is to improve the quality of life in a manner that is significant and long term.
