DETAILS OF THE PROJECTS WORKED ON
01 Project Name TDCMSUCF
Client Toronto Dominion Bank Financial Group, Toronto (Canada)
Description of the project: This project basically involved giving a technological solution towards the uncollected/unposted CDA fees problem for TD Bank. The Business problem is as follows: There is a huge month-end report for all unposted charges and fees. These could be categorized into actionable and non-actionable items. Actionable items are those that (a) require review by the Retail Branches and Commercial Banking Centres and a subsequent manual posting by the Branch Services Centre. (b) Those that do not require manual review and could be automatically posted thus eliminating the need for appearing on the report. The non-actionable items are those which could be waived and need not be posted and also need not appear in the report. Incidentally there is no way at the present to distinguish between actionable items and non-actionable items and all of them appear on the report. This has resulted in the report size being huge as a consequence of which there are frequent misses in identifying the proper items for posting. This has resulted in uncollected fees and hence a loss in account revenue.
So, the entire exercise involved analysing the portion of the System that is related to Commercial Deposit Accounts. Analysing and reviewing requirements and identifying the necessary System changes and identify the impact that the suggested system changes could possibly have on the downstream systems. Finally a proposal was submitted enumerating the technological solution outline, the approach and the cost estimates.

05 Project Name CHOREO
Client BPMI.org
Description of the project: In my most recent project I was involved in the project coordination, requirements analysis, architecture, design, testing and implementation of the Business Process Management System, a web-based product. The goal of the project is to develop a Business Process Management System that takes as input a BPML document (BPML herein stands for Business Process Modeling Language, an XML like language arrived at by a consortium of companies called BPMI.org for modeling Business Processes.), parses and executes the same in a sequential manner, contacting underlying components via SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol). Infosys Technologies is an active member of BPMI.org
As a Team Lead/ Architect/Developer in my Group, I was responsible for system design, application architecture and development. Coded test cases in BPML, for the execution engine. This helped a lot in de-bugging the parser module. Also coded the entire Order Processing application using BPML, for testing the final engine.
Designed messaging using SOAP. Both the SOAP client and SOAP components were designed and developed. Also coded the GUI generator module for Client end. Designed the BPML Message Exchange Board.
Designed, developed, tested the IPO module. Basically, developed the Back-End Java beans, Stored Procedures, Soap components, Soap client for testing, develop Servlet and screens so as to accomodate integration of GUI with the back end, Screens maintenance, Coordination of the entire effort.
Resolved interaction of GUI with the BPMS engine and also with the back-end SOAP components via the JMS. This involved coding of sender and receiver module for JMS, session management interface for JMS. XMLisers, DeXmlisers for interpreting the XML results were also coded by me.
Designed the interaction with UDDI, for the BPML engine. Also was involved in writing the codes for publishing and finding the WSDL definitions in UDDI registry. Coded the WSDL definitions for the BPML processes.

07 Project Name FDRL
Client First Data Resources, Omaha (US)
Description of the project:
It was a consolidation project aimed at bringing consistency between the system at UK and US. The platform was m/f and the analysis tool being used was Viasoft. It basically involved analyzing the existing system in customer premises at Omaha, US and preparing the functional design for the new system. First Data Resources headquartered at Omaha, US deals mainly with processing of Credit Cards like MasterCard, Visa etc. for its clients. Sister concern of the same is located at London, UK. Over the time both the systems went on enhancing their own way. As a result of the same, there was lot of disparity between the systems. Basically the reports had to be changed from functionality point of view. This involved getting requirements from the customer, analyzing the existing system, doing impact analysis and coming up with functional design as well as detailed design for the change. The existing report programs are in Cobol.
