RE: 2015 12 YEARS GIRLS CRICKET SELECTION TRIALS
The 2015 QSSS 12 Years Girls Cricket State Championships will be held at Brisbane Grammar Playing Fields, Northgate hosted by Metropolitan East Region from Sunday 25 – Wednesday 28 October 2015.
(To be eligible to participate in a State Championship in any of the registered sports, a student must be a minimum of 10 years of age and not have attained the age of 20 years on the 31 December of the year of the competition.)
Metropolitan North will select one (1) team to contest this Championship.
Trials to select this team will be held at Everton District Cricket Club, Whites Road, (UBD 119, H11), Chermside West, on Thursday, 10 September 2015 commencing at 3.30pm until 5.00pm.
Eligibility: Cricketers must be born 2003 or later and be available to play in the State Championships on 25 – 28 October 2015.
ALL STUDENTS MUST present, on the trial day Availability for Selection (available only from Sports Coordinator), Parental Consent, Student Details and Medical Details forms (these forms are available on the website: http://www.metnorthschoolsport.eq.edu.au) as well as trial levy ($10.00) ready for collection on arrival at the Metropolitan North Trial or they WILL NOT be accepted by the Convenor.
Sun Protection: Please stress upon your students the necessity to wear proper sun protection (i.e. hat, sun cream and appropriate clothing).
Equipment: Students are requested to bring their own playing gear, non-marking rubber sole shoes must be worn, and water container. We recommend that students wear a batting helmet.
Note: The girls are required to bring their own gear. This may be borrowed from school.

PLEASE NOMINATE ONLY PLAYERS WHO HAVE THE ABILITY AND SKILL TO PARTICIPATE AT THIS LEVEL. RELEVANT DOCUMENTATION MUST BE PRESENTED TO THE CONVENOR AT THE CARNIVAL PRIOR TO PARTICIPATION.
Players invited to join the Metropolitan North Team as a result of their performance at the trial will contest the 2014 Q.S.S. 12 Years & Under Girls Cricket Championships held at Brisbane Grammar Playing Fields, Northgate hosted by Metropolitan East Region from Sunday 25 – Wednesday 28 October 2015.
