Sub: Notice regarding engagement of Consultants in the Accessible India Campaign Division, DEPwD on contract basis.

Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) invites applications from individuals for appointment as Consultant for a period of twelve months to provide secretariat functional support for effective implementation of the Accessible India Campaign. The eligibility criteria is as follows:-
Work & No. of Posts / Persons eligible / Qualifications (Essential) / Preferable qualifications / Description of work(i) Command over secretariat works of noting/drafting, file management etc.
(ii) Work related with implementation of the schemes of the Department, preparation of SFC/EFC Memos, drafting Cabinet Notes, Results Frame Work Document, organizing Seminars/Conference/Award functions, preparation of agenda, brief, speeches, minutes, Annual Report, Preparation of Annual plan, Budget and accounts, etc.
(iii) Compilation of material for preparation of booklets, e-Books, Compendium of schemes /Programme
(iv) Compilation of data relating to target groups Processing of Audit Paras
(v) Preparation & publication of Advertisements relating to various activities of the Department and organizing press meets, conferences, multi media campaigns etc.
(vi) Processing of proposals received under various schemes /Programme
(vii) Handling of Court Cases
(viii) Handling of work relating to Administration, General Administration, Policy issues etc.
(ix) Conducting workshops, seminars etc.
Secretariat Work - 02 / Retired Officers of Central/ State Government/PSUs / (i) Graduation in any stream
(ii) Knowledge of computer application with good typing skills / (i) Previous experience of working in Central/ State Government
(ii) Sound knowledge of Government rules and procedures.
(iii) Good command over English & Hindi
(iv) Experience in handling Policy Matters, Schemes, Financial and Administrative issues, Coordination, Court Cases etc.
2. The persons appointed as Consultants shall be paid salary in the range of Rs.35,000/- to Rs.48,000/- per month depending on their qualification and experience in the following grades as under: -
(i) Grade-I: Persons with three years of experience in the post of Section Officer in the Government or PSUs
(ii) Grade-II: Persons with three years of experience in the post of Under Secretary in the Government or PSUs
(iii) Grade-III: Persons with three years of experience in the post of Deputy Secretary in the Government or PSUs
3. ENTITLEMENT OF THREE CATEGORIES OF CONSULTANTS

* The total monthly consolidated fee and the Pension drawn by the Consultant shall not be more than the Last Pay Drawn by him calculated at the current rates of Dearness Allowance in case of retired government servants
** The consolidated fee including conveyance allowance should not exceed the amount in column (3).
4. Apart from the above, the terms and conditions of appointment the other terms and conditions for appointment will be as per the policy for engagement of consultants framed by the Department.
5. The Contract can be terminated at any time at the discretion of the Department without one month notice if the performance of the person engaged is not found satisfactory.
6. The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities reserves the right to accept or reject the applications without assigning any reasons.
