Vitocell 300-V and 300-B: newstainless steel DHW cylinder with energy efficiency label A
Generating and storing DHW with a high level of efficiency and maximum hygiene – Viessmann is now launching the Vitocell 300-V andVitocell 300-B series of mono- and bivalent stainless steel DHW cylinders on the market. With their highly efficient thermal insulation, they achieve energy class A, the highest a DHW cylinder can reach. Stainless steel provides for permanent, absolutely hygienic storage of the heated drinking water.
Innovative thermal insulation
All cylinders in the new series have especially low levels of heat loss, thus significantly reducing the cost of DHW generation. Their highly efficient thermal insulation consists, among other things, of lamellar panels with a ceramic supporting construction. It is enclosed by a gas- and vapor-tight plastic film that is evacuated before being finally sealed. This vacuum creates especially low thermal conductivity and makes the thermal insulation many times more effective than conventional insulation materials.
Stainless steel for maximum drinking water hygiene
The mono-modeVitocell 300-V cylinder comes in sizes holding 160, 200, 300 and 500 liters, in a choice of white or silver up to a capacity of 300 liters. The dual-mode Vitocell 300-B cylinder, with a second integral coiled tube heat exchanger for connection to a solar thermal system, is available in silver with holding capacities of 300 and 500 liters. All cylinder models have a stainless steel container. This absolutely food-safe, as well as acid- and corrosion-resistant material guarantees perfectly hygienic drinking water for the entire lifespan of the DHW cylinder.
In contrast to enameled cylinders moreover, a stainless steel cylinder needs no magnesium or impressed current anode to protect against corrosion, thus saving the expense of replacing the sacrificial anode or for the electricity used by the impressed current anode.
Easy transport and installation
The new stainless steel cylinder weigh up to thirty percent less than enameled cylinders of the same size, so they are easier to transport.
In addition, the stainless steel cylinders inthe new series have the same dimensions and connections as the enameled Vitocell cylinders. This enables maximum flexibility when preparing an offer, or planning and building a system.
Advantages for trade partners
-Simplified system planning and offer preparation thanks to matching connections in the stainless steel and Ceraprotect series
-Easier to transportbecause much lighter in weight than cylinders with Ceraprotect enameling
-Strong sales arguments for the stainless steel cylinder:
- Hygienic and corrosion proof
- No protection anode required
- Highly efficient thermal insulation with vacuum panel
Advantages for users
-Low energy costs thanks to highly efficient thermal insulation with vacuum panels (up to 300 liters) and ErP energy efficiency class Afor the entire series
-Easy to maintain and no follow-up costs compared to enameled cylinders (for example, replacing the magnesium anode)
-Excellent corrosion resistance because all DHW cylinders in the series are acid-cleaned
Technical data
-Holding capacities:
- Vitocell 300-V (mono-mode): 160, 200, 300,and 500 L
- Vitocell 300-B (dual-mode): 300 and 500 L
-ErP energy efficiency class: A
Delivery date
The newVitocell 300-V and 300-B DHW cylinders will be available starting in April 2017.
Vitotrans 353: fresh water station for mounting on a wall or storage system
The new Vitotrans 353 fresh water stations always provide fresh, hygienic hot water. They heat the drinking water by the circulation principle. The energy for this comes from Vitocell heating water buffer cylinders that can be heated by boilers fired with oil, gas, or biomass, by heat pumps, electricity-generating heating systems, or solar power systems.
Fresh water stations for every application
The new fresh water stations provide the right amount of hot water for every application, not only in single-family homes, but also in large residential buildings, hotels, or sports facilities. Five models with differing tap outputs ensure that the right size is available for every use: PBSA (25L/min), PBMA (48L/min) and PBLA (68L/min) for wall installation, and PZSA (25L/min) and PZMA (48L/min) for direct installation on the Vitocell heating water buffer cylinders. For higher tap volumes, up to four stations can be run in a cascade without requiring an additional master control.
Comfortable control with anapp
The drinking water is heated in all Vitotrans 353 models by a plate-type heat exchanger. Speed-controlled circulation pumps ensure that the water temperature is accurate to one degree and keep electricity consumption low. The Vitotrans 353 can be controlled right at the fresh water station’s control panel and – if the system has a CAN-Bus – comfortably with the heat generator’s control or with an app.
Advantages for trade partners
-Pre-installed and ready to use for quick installation on a wall or storagesystem
-Compatible with Viessmanncontrols (plug, bus communication)
-Easy start-up thanks to configuration with the control panel of the heat exchanger or with an app (on systems with CAN-Bus)
-Three output levels (25, 48 and 68L/min)for flexible use
-Easy to cascade the modules without additional cascade control
Advantages for users
-High level of comfort and DHW generation accurate to a degree thanks to speed-controlled pumps
-Hygienic DHW generation by the circulation method even at low system temperatures (for example, with heat pump)
-Space-saving solution (no additional drinking water tank required)
-Temperatures and cycle times can be set on the control panel of the heat generator or with an app (on systems with CAN-Bus)
Technical data
-Tap outputs: 25, 48 and 68L/min
