In front of a good crowd at Ram Meadow it was even until the tenth minute when the Trunks Ethan Puryear crossed from the right for Liam Green to rifle in the opening goal for Elephant & Castle. On the 19 minute mark the man of the match Jack Ellam netted fro the Trunk to make it
2 – 0. The second half ebbed and flowed but the Elephant & Castle held on the inflict Hoxne’s first defeat against league two opposition this season. Referee Alan (Percy) Gardiner was a busy man with several cards being administered.

DIVISION 1 KO FINAL

In a keenly contested Cup Final Garboldisham took the lead on the twenty five minute mark when Olly Copeman headed in from a corner kick. In the second half it looked odds on that Garby would hang on for the win but with a third of the half still to go Matt Creaton netted a penalty for the Saints to bring the scores level at 1 – 1. The St Edmunds winner was scored by substitute Sam Whiting five minutes from full time.
Referee Shane Price with several yellow cards and one red card.
Man of the match was Joe Treece the Garboldisham centre back.

The Charity match between ourselves and the Sunday League resulted in a 4 – 0 win for the Sunday League side, more importantly the sum of £1000 was raised for the chosen charity The St Nicholas Hospice.

BILL UTTING CUP KO FINAL

Garboldisham FC2 – 1Barons FC
In this knock cup which is the Plate for the Mick Mc Neil Cup Division 1 second placed side Barons were up against Garboldisham who finished 4th in the Division.
Garby took a 2 – 0 half time lead thanks to a brace from Gareth Hobley. In the second period Barons pressed and equalised with an Ashley Thompson strike. Garby managed to hang on winning the cup 2 – 1.The Man of the match was Garboldisham’s Harley Durrant.

Elephant & Castle FC 2 – 1St Edmunds 1965 FC
The top cup competition in the league which is played for by all teams resulted in a cup final between unbeaten runaway Division 1 champions St Edmunds 1965 FC and Division 2 knock out cup winners who finished in third spot in their Division. A Sam Whiting goal midway in the first half gave St Edmunds and 1 – 0 half-time lead. Minutes into the second half Liam Green equalized for the Trunk. Referee Steve Davil had no choice but to red card a St Edmunds player for a stamp on a\n opponent mid way in the second half. It was looking odds on a penalty shoot but with minutes to go the Trunk were awarded a free kick on the edge of the St Edemunds penalty area. Up stepped substitute Edwin Frost who curled a ‘worldy’ of a free kick around the wall and into the net. The last few minutes were hectic but the
Elephant & Castle hung on to win 2 – 1 and end St Edemunds unbeaten run.

GLASSWELLS ST EDMUNDSBURY LEAGUE
St Edmunds (Fair Play) Cup.
Coddenham Athletic FC0 – 1St Edmunds 1965 FC
The many times postponed cup final was played courtesy of Westbury United at their Great Barton Village Hall ground.
The first half was end to with the only goal of the game coming mid way through the first half from St Edmunds Captain Kevin Zdrenka.
The man of the match Matt Taylor the St Edmunds goal keeper saved a first half penalty. Coddenham pressed in the second half were one on one with the St Edmunds keeper but Matt Taylor was unbeatable.
