2015 – 16
· Debate Club members actively participated in 5 intercollegiate competitions. Out of the 5 students who participated in the Speak for Kerala competition organized by Federal Bank and Mathrubhumi, two students were selected to the zonal level competition.
· The dance club members actively participated in various inter collegiate competitions and activities. Together with the College student’s council they organized a dance competition KEERALEEYAM as part of the Onam Celebrations. The dance club members of the Department of Zoology won first prize for the Inter Collegiate dance competition AGASAJO 2015 held at Nirmala College, Muvattupuzha.
· The Drama Club of the college performed a skit on Arts Day. The members of the club also participated in the dance-drama in connection with the celebration of the 150th year of the CTC congregation atSt.Francis Cathedral, Ernakulam.
· In collaboration with the Department of Communicative English, the Photography Club commenced its activities with a ‘workshop on photography and short film making’ by Joe Sibi Malayil.
· Writers and Readers Club organized a ‘Write a Letter to Santa’ competition for both teachers and students.
2014 – 15
· Folklore Club was registered under Folklore Academy
· Debate Club members actively participated in 5 intercollegiate competitions. Arya S Nair of III B.A. English won the III prize in the Elocution Competition held at Sacred Heart College, Thevara in connection with World Ozone Day.
· The Dance Club is very active with its participation in all the cultural events of the college. Won the first prize and cash awards in the inter- collegiate theme dance competition, Dhyuthi 15 held at Bharat Matha College, Thrikkakara and Opus Media Fest at Depaul College, Angamaly.
· The Drama Club of the college commenced its activities with an ‘acting workshop’ inaugurated by Sri. N K Sajeev, a faculty at Film and Television Institute of India, Whistling Woods International Mumbai, IFTI Meerut and Neo Film School Kochi. The College Drama club performed skits on Xaverian Day and on Arts Day. With the support of Paravoor George Memorial Trust , the Club organized an interdepartmental Street Play Competition based on the theme ‘ Maalinyamo Nammude Samskaram’ . The Department of English won the Paravoor George Memorial Ever rolling Trophy for the same.
2013 – 14
· Energy Conservation Club was registered under Energy Conservation Society
· The Film Club aims at bestowing the members with media literacy, especially the norms and principles of film making. The members attended the Film Fest, held at Fidelity Theatre, IMA Cochin, organized by Kochi Metropolis- a National Film society. A film review competition was held and gave away prizes to the winners. The club organized film shows at the college level and handed over the ticket money as a contribution to college union council. The Dance Club members carried out a spectacular performance in the International Aqua show held at Marine Drive, Kochi.
· The Drama Club in association with the College Union and women study centre organized a street play named “ Pandamenthiya pennungal” in July. The Music Club conducted Ganamela by Lakshmi P.R, Shilpa K. Raj and Ankitha in June and a church choir was formed for every first Friday holy mass. It has organized 50 member choir commemorizing the 50 golden years of St. Xavier’s on date in connection with Golden Jubilee inaugural mass. Music club members participated in the international aqua show at marine drive and Christmas carol competition conducted by Lulu Mall.
· The Science Forum observed Science day with the theme “Fostering Scientific Temper”.
2012 – 13
As a new initiative, the IQAC decided to bring the activities of all clubs under one roof and to monitor and motivate the extra-curricular and co-curricular activities of these clubs. Dr. Aparna Lakshmanan S. was given the charge of club activities. Thriteen clubs were formed and the major activities were as follows.
· The Science Forum in the college organized a lecture series on Bioinformatics.
· The Debate Club conducted two debates on “Mobile Phones: A Boon or Bane” and “ The Influence of Media on Malayalam Language”.
· The Film Club took the students for Regional Film Fest at Kaloor and also conducted a film review competition on the film “Ente”
· Energy Conservation Club organized a poster designing competition for students on 14th March 2013. Also Ms. Jonis V. C, Asst. Professor of Physics Department conducted a discussion on Energy Conservation and related issues to the children of SNDP School, Aluva.
· The quiz club had been instrumental in coordinating and sending students to participate in various intercollegiate quiz competitions both at zonal and university levels.
· Soch vichar Club conducted memory test for the students. The Club has decided that the announcement of its activities will be in Hindi first, secondly in Malayalam.
· Reader’s and Writer’s Club , Photography Club, Dance Club, Film Club, Theatre Club, Music Club and Human Rights Forum are actively functioning in the college helping the students to develop their diverse talents and interests.
