2.  U23 crews: All individuals within an U23 crew must be under 23 on 1st January 2013.

3.  U19 crews: All individuals within an U19 crew must be under 19 on 1st January 2013 and must have reached their 16th birthday before 1st January 2013.

4.  No rower, except coxes, may compete at the regatta unless they will have reached their 16th birthday before 1st January 2013.

5.  The committee strongly encourage single club entries to enter the above events to gain a British Rowing Ranking for their club; however composites are permitted for those that genuinely do not have suitable partners from within their club. In the case of a composite crew winning the overall event a pennant will be awarded to the fastest single club entry.

6.  The event will be run under BR Rules of Racing with the addition of specific Local Rules.

7.  Two British Rowing points will be received by boat type event-winning crews and one British Rowing point will be gained by crews who win pennants.

8.  There will be a Victor Ludorum for the best club.

9.  The committee reserves the right to require a crew to display promotional material which will be supplied by the Organising Committee.

Racing Format

1.  All entries will race a 1900m Time Trial grouped by boat type and crew category e.g. heavyweight, U23 and Lightweights. Each crew will be given a ranking from the time trial which will be used to set the subsequent draw.

2.  SEMI-FINALS – After the Time Trial all boats will be ranked, crews 1-12 will be seeded in to A/B Semi-Finals, crews 13-24 will be seeded in to C/D Semi-Finals etc. Racing will then continue as side by side over 2000m.

3.  FINALS – The first 3 from each of the Semi-Finals A/B will progress to Final A, positions 4, 5, 6 from Semi-Finals A/B will progress to Final B. Similarly from Semi-Finals C/D to Finals C and D respectively etc. Racing will be side by side over 2000m.

4.  In the event of poor weather conditions the committee reserve the right to format a different form of racing after the Time Trial. Subject to weather conditions each crew will be guaranteed a minimum of a Time Trial and a Side by Side Final. The intention is for crews to have semi-finals as well.

5.  The committee strongly encourage rowers to compete on both days and the entry fees will reflect this.

6.  Doubling up on one day, i.e. 2x and 4- is not permitted.
