Hereford Juniors Compete in National Contests
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – More than 647 youth and their families gathered at the 14th annual 2013 VitaFerm® Junior National Hereford Expo in Kansas City, Mo., July 14-21, to show and celebrate the Hereford breed.
In addition to the cattle show, juniors and adults competed in more than 23 skill-based contests ranging from livestock judging to team fitting, and even a 3-on-3 basketball tournament.

Teams “sell” an animal to a panel of judges by promoting pedigree information, performance data and visual characteristics of the animal. The Texas Horned and Polled Junior Hereford Associations sponsored the team marketing contest.
