Location: Friday, January 7th at Heritage High School 1401 W. Geddes Ave Littleton, CO 80120
Saturday and Sunday, January 8th & 9th at Grandview High School 20500 E. Arapahoe Road Aurora, CO 80016
Purpose: To raise money for The Children’s Hospital Foundation, specifically the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, on behalf of Taylor Reeves.
Facilities:
Heritage High School is a 6 lane, 25 yard pool 12 feet at the start end and 3.5 feet at the turn end. There is no separate area for warm-up/warm-down.
Grandview High School is a 6 lane, 25 yard pool 6 feet at the start end and 4 feet at the turn end; separate shallow area for continuous warm-up/warm-down. The competition course has not be certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4).
Timing: Colorado Time System, with back-up timers and Hy-Tek Meet Manager Software. All participating teams will be required to provide timers for the duration of the meet. Lane assignments will be emailed prior to the meet. Each team will also be responsible for providing an additional set of timers for the 8 and Under 25 yard events.
Rules: Current USA Swimming and Colorado Swimming rules shall govern the meet. Age of the swimmer is determined as of January 7, 2011. Swimmers are limited to 4 individual events per day. Swimmers are limited to 8 individual events for the meet. The Meet Referee will have the final authority for the conduct of the meet and reserves the right to combine events.
All swimwear must conform to USA Swimming Rule 102.9. If you have any questions, please check the 2010 FINA Approved swim suit list that is available on the USA Swimming website. All competitors must wear only one swimsuit in one or two pieces except as provided in USA Swimming Rule 205.10.1. The use of cell phones and cameras in the locker rooms is prohibited. On deck changing is not allowed.
Swimmers competing without a USA Swimming member coach in attendance must check in with the Meet Referee before entering the pool; a supervisory coach will be assigned. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
All events will be swum fastest to slowest. Events #1-#2, #3-#4, #51-#52 and #103-#104: Swimmers must provide their own timers and counters for the Freestyle events, and their own timers for the 400 IM. These events will have a positive check-in and will be swum fastest to slowest, alternating women and men. Teams whose swimmers check-in but fail to swim will be fined $25.00/swimmer at the discretion of the Meet Referee and may be barred from further competition.
Relay Events: 2 Relay teams per Club per Relay Event may be entered. Relays will not count towards event total and will not be scored for High Point.
Eligibility: Open to all swimmers holding a 2011 USA Swimming membership card. Any swimmer that appears on the exceptions report without registration must come to the meet prepared to show their card or they will be deck registered before they can enter the water. A surcharge for deck registration will also apply; $27.00 will be added to the normal USA Swimming Registration Fee. All deck entries must present proof of current registration. No exhibition swimming will be permitted. Entries will be accepted for swimmers in Sessions 2 and 4 until the 4-hour rule is reached. Teams will be split only at their request. The Meet Referee reserves the right to drop relays if needed.
Scoring: Individual, High Point Awards for boys and girls in the 8 &Under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and Open groups. 12 and under swimmers competing in Open events will only be scored as Open athletes.
Each participant will receive a commemorative T-shirt.
Entries: Computer disk is the entry method of preference. Each team is responsible for the accuracy of the entries on the disk.
Entry Deadline: Entries and fees must be received by no later than 6:00 pm on Tuesday, January 4th, 2011. Any team that fails to pay entry fees prior to the start of the meet will not be allowed to participate until full payment is received. No exceptions.
Entry Fees: $5.00 Swimmer Surcharge. $4.00/event.
Late Entries: $10 Swimmer Surcharge. $8.00/event.
CSI Splash Fund: $0.75 of each entry goes to Colorado Swimming, Inc.
MSL Splash Fund: $0.10 of each entry goes to MSL

Warm-Up Procedure: Warm-up will be conducted in accordance with the Colorado Swimming, Inc. established procedures. Each team will be assigned lane(s) and/or times for both the morning and afternoon sessions on Saturday and Sunday. Continuous warm-up and warm-down will be available on Saturday and Sunday.
