How to get here from the South

I am assuming you will be travelling up the A1, being careful to adhere to the speed limits which sometimes drop to 60 and sometimes to 50 mph!

1.  You should leave the A1 at the Brampton Hut roundabout, ignoring any earlier slip roads which would take you through Godmanchester and around the ring road.

2.  The roundabout has traffic lights which are bound to stop you at some point of the circle. You want to take the third exit – signed for the A141 to March.

3.  The first exit you come to is for the Racecourse. Ignore this, carry straight on.

4.  At the Spittals roundabout (where most of the traffic will bear to the right for the A14 (Cambridge) you want to go straight on, still following signs for the A141 March.

5.  There is a short stretch of dual carriage way leading to a roundabout where you should be in the middle lane and go straight on (noticing a Shell garage on your right). Single carriageway from here!

6.  The next roundabout has an Audi agency on your left – go straight on.

7.  The next roundabout is where you turn LEFT for Abbots Ripton (and Wood Walton).

8.  This road can be slippery and has no cats’ eyes.

9.  Go straight on for about one and a half miles, passing the Private Road to Lodge Farm on your left, round a corner with chevrons, another with 7 reflector posts and then another with chevrons. You now need to slow down and prepare to take a LEFT turn up a farm track which is lined with young trees which show up against the horizon. Our sign for Wild Goose Leys is at the junction with the lane. Go up this slowly, passing a metal barn on your left, a sign about Fishing on your right, through a narrowing with another Wild Goose Leys sign and straight on, bearing left, driving past our front door until you see the cottage on your left. You can park in front of the gate if you are good at reversing, bearing in mind there is a pond nearby!

Toot your horn and we should emerge to greet you promptly!

I hope you have a safe journey.

Please do not hesitate to call if you have any difficulties. We are here to help you!
