Committee Welcome Message

Firstly we would like to welcome back our athletes from last season. It is great to have you back. To our new athletes: Welcome and we hope you enjoy your season here at Holroyd Athletics. We currently have approximately 200 athletes registered so far for this season and hopefully our numbers will continue to grow over the next few weeks. If you know any friends, neighbours or relatives that may be interested in trying athletics, invite them down.

We have some helpful pointers to our first time families & a reminder to our returning families:

Athletes must have a parent/caregiver in attendance for the duration of the night. Under NOcircumstances are the athletes to be left at the ground without a parent.

If a parent is volunteering to go onto the field to help they firstly must sign on under their respective Age Group and/or position. Please see Shanna or Gerard

on the veranda outside the clubhouse where she can appoint/assist you with a position for the night. Only children who are members of Holroyd Athletics are allowed onto the field. No prams, strollers or young children.

A reminder to athlete's that misbehave or are disruptive to the age groups that this will not be tolerated. Age managers and parent helpers will be advised to send the misbehaving athletes to the clubhouse if the child persists.

A reminder to all the parents and athletes, our club runs on parent help. Without help, Friday nights are not possible. So please lend a hand either as an Age manager, Age recorder, parent helper within the groups or maybe a time keeper, starter or out on the field events. It is not hard to do and the kids enjoy seeing their parents out there. There will always be someone around to show you how.

Please be patient in the first few weeks of the new season with the running of the events. They may take a little longer as we see if there are any clashes to the program and how many children are in each age group.

If there are any issues during a Friday night, please see one of the committee members who will be wearing our club shirt of Blue & Gold.

NOTICE BOARD

We also have a noticeboard located on the veranda outside the clubhouse, just before the canteen. This board is updated weekly with current information & upcoming events. There will be flyers at differing times for events & enrolment forms for upcoming events & carnivals.

CANTEEN

We offer a range of hot food including, Hot Dogs, Sausage on a Roll, Chicken Burgers, Noodles, Pies andSausage rollsbrevilles for sale. There are also a variety of drinks, chips and lollies. If you are interested in purchasing Hot Food for your child to eat after they have completed athletics, please PRE-ORDER at the CANTEEN before the start of the night. This will help out the people running the canteen and avoid disappointment. Everything purchased from our canteen goes toward supporting our club!!

RAFFLES

Please support the club by buying raffle tickets that we will be selling around the ground. If everyone bought a ticket, this would financially help the club buy and maintain the equipment that the children need to use each week and also help with the clubs Christmas and end of season functions.

Raffle tickets are $1 each, 3 for $2 or 8 for $5.

Also, if anyone has any donations that could be used as Raffle prizes throughout the season, please see one of our committee members. Remember all the money raised goes to help the kids, your support is appreciated.

PUBLICITY

We have a publicity officer who will keep you updated throughout the season on upcoming events, carnivals, weekly updates etc. We send out weekly newsletters, we have a facebook page so you can receive our most recent updates quickly. Our website has been recently updated as well. REMINDERS

Just a reminder to all athletes that there is strictly no playing or jumping around on the high jump mats, they are to be used strictly for competition purposes. We would hate for injury to occur to any child.
