Atlantic recording artist Cody Simpson has unveiled a flurry of activity surrounding tomorrow’s release of his eagerly awaited new album. “SURFERS PARADISE” – which features the hit single, “Pretty Brown Eyes” – will be available at last on Tuesday, July 16th.
Simpson will celebrate with a number of high profile TV appearances, kicking off tomorrow with a visit to the nationally syndicated LIVE with Kelly and Michael (check local listings). The next day – Wednesday, July 17th – will see the Australian-born pop sensation sitting down on CBS New York’s The Couch, followed Friday, July 19th by a headline performance on Fox’s Fox & Friends All-American Summer Concert Series.
“SURFERS PARADISE” – which follows the Australian-born pop star’s 2012 debut, “PARADISE” – rocketed into the top 5 on the iTunes Stores’ “Top Pop Albums” chart within hours of its pre-order getting underway. Hailed by Billboard as a “happy-go-lucky...summer anthem,” “Pretty Brown Eyes” has immediately proven one of Simpson’s biggest hits thus far. The track is currently scoring at Top 40 radio outlets nationwide, after proving yet another Radio Disney favorite for the massively popular young artist. The “Pretty Brown Eyes” companion video has also just been added to Fuse’s “Pop Hits” rotation, with frequent play continuing on both MTV Hits and TeenNick. Simpson has spent much of the past year on the road, including his currently ongoing North American headline tour which comes to NYC’s Best Buy Theater, with a sold out show, this Thursday, July 18thand is set to wrap July 20th at Boston’s House of Blues. From there, Cody will rejoin Justin Bieber’s world-conquering Believe Tour for a series of sold out shows in such cities as Toronto, Detroit, Newark, Brooklyn, Jacksonville, Tampa, Atlanta, and Washington, DC.
