Ann-Eve Cunningham
- Updates on our most recent mailing: $31,000 received; average gift is $700 and average per piece of mail is $72.
- For the year we made 528 significant personal contacts with donors and 232 of them were personal visits. This is well above the Foundation minimum requirement of 150.
- Beginning August 1st, Jill will be out for approximately 6 weeks for surgery. Terri Sweet has been a great help in navigating the system.
- Ann-Eve will be out this Friday and Monday.
Susie Hernandez
- Susie will be out this Friday to be on the panel for the Center for Asian American Media; they fund and distribute content for PBS.
- August schedule has been completed; tomorrow Susie is holding a T.V. highlights meeting.
- Susie is working on September’s schedule which is a big month – we are launching Hollywood at Home.
- During the transition of Dawn Elliott’s departure and a new person being hired, Ed Kesterson and Ali Sullivan will handle all UW insertions and generating logs for radio and Mike is covering the T.V. side.
- If there are any urgent needs from Underwriting, please call Ed for Radio or Mike for TV.
Peter Michaels
- Michael Chihak is in the White Mountains now working on interviews for the next two weeks of Arizona Week.
- Laura Markowitz’s series on marijuana running this week. Gisela and Robert have done nice work promoting on website.
- PCOA possible partnering
- Out Friday and Monday.
Ed Kesterson
- Ben Nead will be taking Tuesday, Wednesdays & Thursdays offfor vacation. Dan Kruse is out this Thursday thru next week.
- New Arbitron audience data numbers for the radio stations will be out soon.
Kimberly Heath
- We are working on the accounting software situation. Our consultant that was working with us has left the company, but we still require additional training. There is a lot that we still don’t know how to do. The auditors will be coming in 6 weeks and we have to be ready for them.
- We are also working on completing year end.
- Terri Sweet will be out this Friday for two weeks.
- Kimberly will be out Thursday and Friday of this week.
Dana Horner
- We are currently at about 2/3 of where wefinished last July.
- Dana is working closely with Ali, the temporary traffic person, to stay on top of anything that might come up. Issues are being resolved quickly.
- Dana will be out this Friday.
Pat Callahan
- Our countdown is complete. We fell 12% short of the $420,096 goal. We raised about $370,000 for June.
- Pat is currently working on the September pledge schedule.
- Pat is also beginning to work on the calendar year-end mailing with Ann-Eve.
- We received our fiscal year analysis from Carl Bloom: where we had countdown campaigns, the amount of people coming in through the web and phone is significantly up from when we didn’t have a campaign.
Fran Sherlock
- We are set to play the sizzle reel for President Shelton’s reception tomorrow from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Marriott. Tom Casey has been working on it with Jack.
- Fran received a call from WGBH, producer of “State of the Reunion.” It is currently a radio show, but now they have picked Tucson as the location for their TV pilot.They want to use a couple of our students on a volunteer basis and possibly studio B as a backup in case they get rained outWe run the radio program now on Sunday afternoons on KUAZ, currently cherry picking from last 2 seasons.The focus of show is about neighborhoods or regions that have gone through big transitions.
- WGBH will be scouting in the next week or so and will shoot the first 2 weeks of August.
- Martin Rubio is out next week.
- Fran will be out a couple of hours on Thursday afternoon.
- Anna Latta is out next week.
John Kelley
- NPR’s annual member station meeting is tomorrow from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. John will participate via Web conference.
- The PCWIN agreement with Pima County Public Safety and other agencies has been finalized and will be ready for signature shortly.
- Lease language for the Sierra Vista, AZ and Casa Grande, AZ EBS channels has been finalized as of this morning.
- AZPM’s Pima, AZ (near Safford) FM license application to broadcast our NPR radio service was approved by the FCC.We now have three years to complete construction.
- Our engineers were in Sierra Vista today working on our KUAZ translator.There were a few brief service interruptions as they removed RF filters from the broadcast chain.
