SETTING UP A SYNERGY ACCOUNT

SYNERGY-Setting up a profile

·  Visit the Office of Student Professional Development website at www.fresnostate.edu/craig/internships-jobs & select the “SYNERGY” button from the navigation menu.

·  Click on the blue “Student” button

·  Under the green “Login” button you will see a link “Click Here to Register”, use that link to create a new profile. You will only need to do this the first time you visit the site.

SYNERGY-Personal Information

·  Please fill out all required personal information.

·  Please make sure we have a valid phone number and email address in case we need to get in touch with you regarding your application or interview sessions.

SYNERGY-Demographic Information

·  This information will not be viewed by employers at any time, this is just for CSB office staff.

·  CSB Classification-Junior or Senior depending on your level

·  CSB Applicant Type-Career Placement-(Do not use Internship Program even if you are applying for an internship position)

You will need to only fill out the remaining information that has a red (*) asterisk.

Click the gold “Register” button. Your file will be put into our pending bin that is checked during business hours; once approved you will be notified by email or text if you set up that feature. You will be able to upload your resume and a transcript after your profile is approved.

USING SYNERGY

SYNERGY-Using the system

·  You can find the student log in button on the Office of Student Professional Development website at www.fresnostate.edu/craig/internships-jobs.

·  Enter your information in the section provided & click login.

SYNERGY-Home Page

·  This will be your information central page. The description on the home page will guide you to the different sections you might use.

·  Calendar or Upcoming Events- Click to see who is coming to campus and when. Deadline are also posted for on campus recruitment positions.

·  Task List- This area will be populated if you are selected to register for an interview. You will have a link you can follow to select an interview time.

SYNERGY-Upload Documents

·  Select My Account > My Documents

·  You can upload your resume or use the Resume Creator provided. Please keep in mind that all resumes uploaded to our system are put into a holding bin until they have been reviewed by our staff. We will not be editing your resumes but they might take some time to become active.

·  Click the blue “Add” link under the Resume, Unofficial Transcripts or Cover Letter sections to add documents. They system can hold multiple documents per section.

·  It is a good idea to save your documents in a way you can recognize them if they are customized, this will save you time when you apply to different positions.

SYNERGY-On-Campus Recruitment

·  Select “View Positions I Qualify For” under the On-Campus Tab

·  You will be using the “Submit Resume” button at the top to submit your documents for consideration.

·  If you do not have the “Submit Resume” button at the top you do not qualify for some reason. Usually this is because you are missing required documents or are below the GPA requirement.

·  After you click the “Submit Resume” button you will be prompted to select the documents you wish to submit to the employer.

·  Click “Submit” and you have requested to be selected for an interview. You can view where you submitted your resumes to in the My Activity section of your profile at any time.

SYNERGY-Interview Request Accepted

·  If the employer selects you for an interview you will be notified by them or the SYNERGY system to sign up for an interview time.

·  You can look on your task list on the Home Page to find the link to select an interview time.

·  Only the times in blue are available for you to select. Make sure you click the link and confirm your time. You will be sent a reminder email from SYNERGY.

·  All of our interview rooms are in PB 23. You can stop by PB 181 for help in finding the room the day of the interview.
