The State of Michigan recently completed an evaluation of its IT Staff Augmentation acquisition process to address its current and on-going requirements of contract IT labor for all its facilities. As a result of this evaluation, Acro Service Corporation (Acro) of Livonia, MI, was selected as a Vendor Managed Services (VMS) provider for IT Staff Augmentation Program.

I am pleased to inform you that Acro and the State have now executed the final contract. The State and Acro have agreed that effective August 1, 2012, Acro’s VMS program team will be managing the process of procuring and on-boarding of all new contingent IT staff working at the State with the use of Acro’s Vendor Management System, the XRMSM System. In addition, Acro will be managing vendor on-boarding, performance, compliance, and data reporting on behalf of the State.

Vendors currently enrolled in the Re:Start program and others desirous of supplying IT staff augmentation services to the State are required to enter into a Subcontractor agreement with Acro after which they will be provided training, documentation and access to use Acro’s XRMSM System to receive and respond to new staffing requests from the State electronically. Also as part of this process, time sheets for all contractors placed through the VMS program will be entered into the XRMSM System from which Acro will send a consolidated invoice to the State. Once Acro receives payments from the State, they will disburse vendor’s corresponding payments. Please note that all current Re:Start purchase orders and incumbent contract employees will not be affected by this transition and vendors will continue to invoice and receive direct payments from the State till the existing purchase orders run out or terminated.

Further details, sign-up documents and Acro’s contact information can be found at on the web at http://www.acrocorp.com/acrosom. Vendors are strongly advised to visit the referenced site and start the process of signing up with Acro.

The State and Acro are committed to a smooth and successful transition and we thank you in advance for your cooperation in this process. If you have any questions regarding this transition please contact Joe Kelly from DTMB at (517) 373-3993 or by email at OR Joleen Woof of Acro at (734) 542-4326 or by e-mail at .

On behalf of the State, we would like to thank your company for the services you have provided in the past, and we look forward to growing our partnership with you as we move forward in this strategic relationship.
