Goals: One of our main goals, we hope to expand the cooperation between H. S.s and Colleges and between Colleges and businesses, industry, and governmental units as part of a globalized world.

Exchanges/Programs abroad:

Director of EMU’s Academic Program Abroad, ‘Summer in Graz’, Austria
This program was an integral part of our students' education (due to the proposed Internationalization of the curriculum in response to changing international market conditions).
Activities (pre2000 and some afterwards):
German Club Advisor - helped organize the EMU German club;
Promoted activities (movies, talks, Weihnachtsfest, Frühlingsfest etc.),
H.S. recruiting, arranging for visits at and contacts with the
German Consulate etc., programs with the local Goethe Institute, helped
organize GAHFI Fall conferences, and other German-American events,
organized German teacher and other German Stammtische, regular get-
togethers of German speakers; participated at the SAE Spring conference in
Cobo Hall (took EMU’s Business German students to Detroit’s International
Industrial Fair connecting Theory and Practice)
