Job Title: Energize Project Co-Ordinator (fixed term contract from April/May 2015 for 6 months)

Hours : Part time - 30 hours per week

Salary : c£14,400 (pro-rated on 30 hours per week)

Location: Urban Saints Support Centre, Luton

Responsible To: Resources Manager

Some information on Energize:-

Energize is an online database of Christian meeting plans, training and discipleship resources. The meeting plans are fully dynamic and adaptable and split into age groups from 3 to 15+. The site is subscription-based but available to any churches or community groups that wish to use the resources. We currently have 1300 subscribing groups, across the UK plus a handful of groups overseas too. In 2015 we are totally rebuilding and redesigning the Energize website and this new role will support this process.

THERE IS A GENUINE OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT (GOR) THAT THIS ROLE IS FILLED BY A CHRISTIAN (Please see separate sheet for further information)

Summary of Main Responsibilities:

To support the Resources Manager and the Energize team in the transition between the existing Energize website and the new version of Energize. This will primarily be outworked by ensuring the site content is as up-to-date as possible and transferred between the sites in advance of the relaunch.

Specific Responsibilities:

1.  Review the library of meeting plans and training content on Energize, checking the accuracy and relevance of materials.

2.  Writing discipleship content to supplement the existing meeting plans and additional content as required.

3.  Documenting the material on the Energize website and developing a curation system to support the transition period.

4.  Uploading new material to the new Energize website and assisting with the transition of existing material

General Responsibilities:

6.  To attend all relevant staff meetings or training courses as directed and take an active part in Prayer Days and other opportunities for spiritual development.

7.  To develop a personal fundraising network to support the ongoing work of Urban Saints in order to raise a minimum of £1,600 per annum.

Basic project management skills
Experience of ‘hands on’ youth or children’s work

Experience of working in Urban Saints activities or groups
Theological / Bible training
·  Special skills and knowledge – Essential
Excellent use of written and spoken English – ability to write and communicate in a clear and convincing way to a range of audiences
Strong organisational skills, with ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
Ability to perform well under pressure and to motivate and encourage other team members – able to deliver workable solutions
Attention to detail - able to diligently focus on attention to details and pursue quality in accomplishing tasks.
Team player - able to work in a team and willing to help when necessary.
