ESSAY QUESTIONS FOR ONLINE GOF MISSIONARY APPLICATION
Not all questions may apply, but please be ready to answer all appropriate and required questions. The online application MUST be completed in one sitting, so preparation in advance is advised. You may cut and paste answers into the online application. DO NOT SUBMIT THIS DOCUMENT AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR THE ONLINE APPLICATION!!!
- As a single person, describe what sexual purity and integrity mean to you and how you have or haven't maintained it. How do you envision your life on the mission field as a single person?
- Describe how you and your spouse compliment each others' ministries. Describe your relationship with your spouse and any children you might have.
- Describe your previous marriage and the circumstances ending the relationship. In the case of divorce, describe your relationship with your previous spouse and any children.
- Please provide an explanation and details of criminal conviction (crime, dates, sentence, etc.). You may include additional information you believe would be helpful for us in evaluating your application.
- How would you describe your current state of health? If diagnosed with any health issues, what are they and how are they currently being managed? Do you have any allergies (food or otherwise), and if so, please describe.
- How and when did you come to know Christ? What has changed in your life since that time?
- What are your beliefs regarding the Holy Spirit and praying in other tongues? Do you personally pray in tongues? If so, in what capacities do you use it?
- Describe your call to ministry and what you perceive to be your ministry gifts. How have you seen these gifts applied in your ministry?
- How does your ministry and GOF's mission statement fit together? How do you see your ministry helping to fulfill GOF's mission?
- What do you view to be your strengths and weaknesses personally and in ministry? In what way would being a part of GOF help you in both areas?
- What is your current ministry involvement, and for how long have you been doing this ministry? List some of the things you have learned from this ministry involvement.
- Describe past ministry involvement, when it occurred, and skills associated with those ministries.
- Have you ever left a church? If so, why?
- Explain the circumstances surrounding your bankruptcy and how long it has been since this occurred. What changes have you made since then?
- Explain the circumstances for being delinquent in paying bills or repaying loans.
