Guidelines and Regulations for the Use of Catering Facilities
1. Applications for exclusive booking of the Hall Restaurant should be made at least one week, but not more than three months in advance on a first-come-first-served basis. For any cancellation, at least three days prior notice to the Catering Manager is required.
2. Bookings will be accepted for organizing PolyU related functions.
3. Opening hours and conditions of booking time:

§ Exclusive use by the Office of SRRL for mass hall functions is allowed during normal opening hours from Monday to Sunday.

4. Organizers bringing guests / participants into the catering facilities shall be responsible for the conduct of their guests / participants and ensure nuisance or inconvenience is not caused to other users.
5. Smoking is prohibited in all catering facilities and alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the Hall Restaurant.
6. Consumption of food and beverages other than those provided by Caterers is prohibited inside the catering facilities. Whereas, home-made food is allowed at Hall Canteen.
7. Without the prior permission of the Catering Committee or Catering Manager, all function activities other than that declared in the requisition form are not allowed.
8. All kinds of games (e.g. card games, chess games) are not allowed in the catering facilities during normal opening hours.
9. Without prior permission from the Catering Committee or Catering Manager, banners, posters and notices are not allowed to display inside the catering premises.
10. Hirers should ensure that the function held is in compliance with the rules and regulations laid down by all concerned public and private authorities, including obtaining prior permission from the Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong Ltd. for any broadcasting of pop music inside the premises at all times.
11. All equipment and properties brought into the catering premises must be removed at the end of the function.
12. University and Caterers will not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage of the properties brought into the catering premises by any users or guests.
13. All properties at the catering premises such as furniture, glass, crockery and cutlery shall not be taken away from the premises without the consent of Caterers.
14. Hirers shall be responsible for all damages to the catering facilities howsoever caused by the users or their guests. Hirers are required to compensate the University or the Caterers for the loss sustained.
15. Caterers reserve the right to refuse entry of users who do not comply with any of these regulations.
16. Caterers operating in the catering premises have the authority to enforce these regulations as instructed by the Catering Committee. If any matter is not covered by the above regulations, the Catering Committee reserves the right to give further reasonable instructions to the hirers. Hirers shall comply with such instructions.
17. All information collected in this form will only be used for processing the application. This application form will be kept for one year and will be destroyed afterwards.
18. These regulations are subject to modifications by the Catering Committee from time to time without prior notice.
