St. Nicholas Workshop
Experience The Joy of Giving
Good Shepherd Anglican Church will hold a St. Nicholas Workshop, December 9, 2017 between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. St. Nicholas is the patron saint of children.
The purposes are:
Christian outreach to the community.
An opportunity for children through age 11 to participate in the joy of giving as well as receiving during the Advent/Christmas season.
An opportunity for our congregation to become more fully involved in the community and the joy of giving to our community with the goal of making friends and acquaintances.
To accomplish these purposes Good Shepherd Anglican will provide a variety of items that the children may purchase for 25 cents. The intent is to give each child the ability to buy something togive to Mom, Dad, brother and/or sisteror other family member as a gift the child has selected and purchased. Good Shepherd Anglican staff and volunteers will be available to help the children select (if necessary) and wrap those items they have selected and purchased to give as gifts.
A refreshment area will be available for the adultsaccompanying the children in which they may relax while the children are doing their shopping.
Church staff will be in the community to solicit contributions of items that would be appropriate for the children to purchase as gifts. Contributions are tax deductible.
This is not a fund raiser.
