Co-Presidents: Gail thanked the sunshine committee and members of the board for their kind words, flowers and mass card. Communications representatives are not present tonight but wanted to relay the message that we need to give at least 2 weeksnotice for communications. Let’s stay ahead. Senior moms get your photos in. Spring dinner is approaching with some special events to start. Bunco event will be held on 2/25.
Secretary: November 2015 minutes presented. Beth Kelly made a motion, and they wereapproved.
Treasurer: Fall events are completed. All made some money and we are on budget. The next big event is the fashion show in March and some charges (flowers) have come in.
Vice-President:Mary Ellen and Mary Alice are working on the bylaws for next year as well as the mother/son service project.
Prep Pride:The new manager of the store is Martha Terry. Hours remain on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Spirituality:There will be a Prep community mass on Mary 15th at St. Pius at noon. The Lenten season will have masses and programs. Mothers mass is 2/26 and the first Friday is the mother’s rosary. Join us.
Staff Appreciation: The next event will be held on February 9th, a breakfast sponsored by the sophomore class. It will have a mardigras theme. The veterans day luncheon was a huge success. Thanks to the junior class for sponsoring.
Enrichment:Guest speaker Mr. Vince Benvenuto founder ofCauseway Collaborative had the opportunity to speak with all of the boys and geared his talk depending on the class. He was well received by the boys and we are looking forward to this evenings presentation.
Freshman Reps: The Holiday Party was great. Cinch did a wonderful job catering. There were a total of 160 attendees and the Historical Society was a good venue since it was already decorated for the holidays.
Sophomore Reps: The semi-formal is scheduled for February 26th. An email is going out to parents for food/drink donations.
Junior Reps: Ring dance onDecember 4that the Fairfield U Oak Room went well. Parents contributed food and drinks. The senior mom dinner has been set for May 24th .
Senior Reps:Will be working on the Junior prom with Mrs. Mauritz
Fashion Show: Date is set for March 15th at Brooklawn Country Club. Fashion show will be held upstairs and the dinner downstairs. There are total of 10 moms so far. Clothing vendors are being determined. There is a max of 250 people in room and the cost will be similar to last year. The theme is Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Mr. Mis may be the evenings MC.
New Business:Beth Kellyshared save the dates fundraising eventsto support the spring auction. The Fire engine pizza event is 2/22, Bunco night is 2/25, and flower arranging is 3/23. Raffle tickets are now available.
