The College of Business Administration is pleased to announce the 9thAnnual Business Pathway to Success, which will take place on Tuesday, April 22, 12-3pm on the Sac State Campus. The event’s purpose is to help students prepare to make a successful transition from college to career by providing them with an opportunity to meet with, talk to, and network with industry professionals. In the current economy, students will have an even greater need to consult with professionals for how to navigate the current job market and learn how to strategically plan for their life after graduation.
That’s where you come in! We are inviting companies from the Sacramento region to participate in and/or sponsor the event. We hope to have participation from at least two professionals with career experience related to each of the twelve concentrations within the Business Administration degree at Sacramento State:

- Finance
- Entrepreneurship
- General Management
- Human Resources Management
- International Business
- Management Info Systems/IT
- Marketing/Sales
- Operations/Management
- Real Estate/Land Use
- Risk Management/Insurance
Business Pathway to Success is designed to provide students with the opportunity to ask candid questions; to learn how to best position themselves to be a competitive candidate for internships and employment with companies such as yours. As such, this is not a direct recruiting event, so if you are not currently hiring, we are very interested in your participation. If you are recruiting interns and/or full-time employees, this event will connect you with very motivated students.
Business Pathway to Success has three components:
1) Begins with a keynote Presentation and luncheon,
2) Followed by two round-table discussions between students and employers, and
3) Concludes with a networking fair.
During the round table discussions, students pre-register to be seated with professionals in specific industry areas. During these discussions we invite professionals to represent their industry and/or career and then represent their company during the networking fair. We provide a table for you to display your company collateral and materials. Students will interact with you on a one-to-one-basis during this portion of the event.
We hope you will join us for the 9th Annual Business Pathway to Success on April 22nd. To participate and/or sponsor, please complete the enclosed Company Registration Form and return to our office by April 4th.
