Re: Camden Valley Way upgrade – temporary road closure atCatherine Field Road
Starting on Monday 9 September 2013
Roads and Maritime Services started work to upgradeCamden Valley Way between Raby Road, Leppington and Oran Park Drive, HarringtonPark in March this year. Work for this stage of the Camden Valley Way upgrade is beingcarried out by Nace Civil Engineering Pty Ltd, who are alsobuilding the first stage of the upgrade between Ingleburn Road and Raby Road.
In consultation with Roads and Maritime, Nace has scheduled a short-term road closure at the Catherine Field Road / Camden Valley Way intersection at Catherine Field. This closure will be put in place from Monday 9 September 2013 for a period of six weeks, weather permitting. No vehicle access will be available into or out ofCatherine Field Road at Camden Valley Way during this period.
This temporary road closure is required toenable the new four way intersection on Camden Valley Wayat Catherine Field Road, to be built. Once complete, this new intersection will provide better access onto Camden Valley Way from Catherine Field Road. This temporary road closure follows the recent closure of Springfield Road to build the new intersection at Camden Valley Way.
A detour map noting alternative routes has been provided on the reverse side of this letter. RMS and local bus services have worked together to minimise disruption to passengers.Bus stops to cater for Catherine Field Road passengers have been identified on the detour map.
Work hours are Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm and Saturday from 8am to 1pm. No night work has been proposed for this scheduled road closure.
Up to date information about the road closure, including any date changes will be displayed on electronic message signs along the roadway.
There will be some noise associated with this work. Every effort will be made to minimise the impact of noise on residents.
Please follow the signs, including reduced speed limits and the directions of traffic controllers.
