Join the Penn State Charleston Chapter online!
It’s easy and a great way to keep up with Penn State in Charleston:
FACEBOOK:
1. Go to Facebook.com
2. On the right lower corner of the screen in the blue box choose “Sign Up for Facebook” and complete the required information.
NOTE: On Facebook people do use their full names and not aliases. This is the only way to find friends as the Search function is by name or email address. People must send you a friend request and you must approve it to allow that person to see your profile.
3. Once your profile is active, you will notice the “Search” function at the upper left of the screen. Use this function to find your friends by simply typing in names. Many people find long lost friends this way.
4. Using the “Search” box type in “Penn State Charleston”. Hit enter and the Penn State Charleston Chapter, SC will be on your list.
5. Double click on the Chapter name to reach the site.
6. Click on “Join This Group”. On your Facebook page you will now receive information on the Chapter. Thank you for being part of our online network!
LINKEDIN:
1. Go to and click on the green box that reads “Join Now”
2. Setup your professional profile.
3. The menu in the upper left corner has a “Groups” button. Click on that button and go to the Groups Directory. At this time there is no search function, simply scroll down the list to find the Penn State Charleston Alumni Chapter. Click on that group and send a request to join.
