Revolution health is approaching 5 years of care to our community, and celebrates the involvement of over 3000 patients and families that have, in small and large ways, been transformed in their health through the thousands of hours of care, education, passion, and compassion of our staff. We have developed a comprehensive model for human health and healing that will serve as a new foundation for the future of health delivery in this nation as the current model of chronic disease management collapses. However, without your help we are not going to be able to keep our doors open!
Revolution Health Center is requesting your urgent assistance. We are requesting an urgent contribution to offset financial losses in the delivery of your previous care and education in our center. The short term solvency of our clinic is threatened by the severe cuts in reimbursement for patient care, and the lack of insurance coverage for educational time and materials which, as you know, are the foundation of our success as a clinic. The cumulative losses in our clinic over the last 5 years have put us in severe financial duress at the beginning of this fiscal year, and are preventing us from expanding to meet the continued growing demand for our services to so many people across the country who desperately need our care. We anticipated the financial disadvantages of our educational model of health care since the outset of our clinic, but we underestimated the degree to which both private and government insurers would reduce their payments and delay or refuse payment for our services. In each of the last 3 years we have had over $250,000 in unpaid accounts receivable. Despite low salaries, frequent missed paychecks, and strict spending, we are unable to balance the books, and our short term debts are threatening the solvency of the clinic.
We are making adjustments to our clinic reimbursement for all visits after March 1, 2015 to ensure our future sustainability. This includes a $295 New Patient administrative fee. Unfortunately, these changes in reimbursement do not solve our immediate debts. We appreciate your effort to help us recover losses for services already delivered.
Your onetime, non-tax deductible contribution will offset a portion of the financial losses that we have incurred in providing the extensive educational time and materials that you have received in your visits with us.
