Please note:
a. Entries will be limited to the first 20 girls’ teams and 20 boys’ teams to respond.
b. This entry form and payment must be received by Monday April 4, 2011.
c. Teams who do not send in their entry forms and payment will not be accepted the day of the meet.
ENTRY PROCEDURE:
Entries are limited to 3 individuals per event and 1 relay team.
Entries will be made on 4x6 cards, please cut the top left corner for girls’ cards.
Entry cards should include the following information:
-Event
-School
-Athlete’s Name and Competition Number
-Seed Time for Running Events or Distance for Jumping/Throwing Events
Please be as honest as possible to allow for accurate seeding.
Attached is an order of events. Please make sure your athletes know when they will be competing so that they can be clerked in efficiently. Clerking will take place in the infield near the finish line.
AWARDS:
Scoring will be 10-8-6-4-2-1.
1st-3rd will receive medals and 4th-6th will receive ribbons for all individual events and relays.
In remembrance of John Pokines, the former meet director and pole vault coach at Ballston Spa, special plaques will be given in his honor to the winner of the boys and girls pole vault competition.
Team trophies will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place for boys and girls.
RESULTS:
We will be using FAT to time this year’s meet.
Results will be announced throughout the meet. All medals and ribbons will be placed in an envelope for the coach to collect at the conclusion of the meet to distribute to their team.
Results will be posted on the wall of the concession stand for athletes, coaches and spectators to view throughout the meet.

RULES:
We will be following NYPHSAA rules. This includes rules regarding jewelry, uniforms, and electronic devices.
We will have starting blocks available; teams may also bring their own.
Only coaches, athletes and officials will be allowed on the infield; spectators may sit in the bleachers or stand outside fence.
A coaches meeting will take place in the clerking area on the infield at 8:45am.
The concession stand will be open and T-Shirts will be sold.
The track is located behind the middle school on Garrett Road. Please have buses drop off coaches and athletes near the track, then park in front of the middle school or high school off of Ballston Ave. Spectators may park in the large parking lots on either side of the tennis courts adjacent to the track, or in front of the middle school and high school. There is no parking on the side of the road.

FIELD EVENTS
Discus and Shot Put
3 attempts in trials, top 7 will have 3 additional attempts in finals.
Each flight will receive 15 minutes of warm up time

Finals will immediately follow the last flight.
Long Jump and Triple Jump
3 attempts in trials, top 7 will have 3 additional attempts in finals.
An OPEN PIT format will be used. These events will run simultaneously on 2 jumping pits.
