About the Contingency Fund

The Contingency Fund (CF) is an expenses account held by International House Dublin for the duration of the student’s stay on the High School Programme. The CF is required for ALL PUPILS participating in the High School Programme. This money is held on trust to provide for items not included in the school programme fees. The account is updated throughout the programme and parents/agents will be contacted if a top-up is required. The balance (if any) is refunded 1 month after the student’s departure. The CF is used for expenses during the programme such as school uniforms, books, private tuition, school trips and unexpected expenses.

The Contingency fund may not be used as a source of pocket money. It is recommended that parents issue students with a debit card, which they can top up with pocket money as required. It is the responsibility of parents to monitor their child’s pocket money. Pocket money should reasonably cover daily expenses and an allowance for school transport.

Under no circumstances may the lodgement be overdrawn.

If at any point there are insufficient funds in the expenses lodgement International House Dublin reserves the right to withhold services until funds are made available.
