REQUIREMENTS FOR AUDITION

INSTRUMENTALISTS:
¯ Music must be memorized.
¯ You must supply an accompanist, if one is necessary.
¯ You must prepare 2 pieces, each approximately 7 minutes in length. You may perform a movement from a longer piece if it is within the time limit guideline. Pieces of varying styles are appreciated, as they allow us to see how you handle different styles and moods.
¯ Submit at the audition a repertoire list for the two pieces you will be performing, including your name and instrument at the top, the name of each piece, its composer and performance time.
¯ Ladies, wear a dress or dressy slacks and top. Gentlemen, wear a nice shirt, tie and jacket. Note for ladies and gentlemen, please keep long hair out of your face.
¯ Be on time for your audition. We are on a tight schedule. If you find that you will be running late or that you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, please call the above number and let us know.
VOCALISTS:
¯ Music must be memorized.
¯ You must supply your own accompanist.
¯ You must prepare three (3) opera arias. (Any substitution should be approved before your audition appointment. Call me if you have questions about this.)
¯ Please have at least 2 different languages represented.
¯ Submit at the audition a repertoire list for the pieces you will be performing, including your name and voice type at the top, the name of each aria, the opera from which it comes, the composer and the performance time.
¯ Ladies, wear a dress or dressy slacks and top. Gentlemen, wear a nice shirt, tie and jacket. Note for ladies and gentlemen, please keep long hair out of your face.
