…is on! To give you an idea of how many people take an interest in your success:
80 ALUMNI HAVE VOLUNTEERED ON SHORT NOTICE TO HELP US PUT SCRIPT OHIO ON THE FIELD.
That is proof that what you do is valued by our community, and you should be proud of the history of this organization and to be a part of its next chapter. The alumni have stepped up; now it’s your turn. There will be two Sunday afternoon rehearsals with the alumni. See below for details.
One Call Now
The band’s One Call Now system is up and running! Expect a phone call tomorrow (Tuesday) regarding the band camp meeting on October 6. I am also working on getting email addresses into the system. Once that is done, all updates will go out in a phone call AND an email. Add that to the hard copy BOPI your child brings home each week AND the posted BOPI. If you do not get the message, please email me at to get on the list. The better-informed our parents are, the better our band will be!
2012 Band Camp Meeting 10/4/2011 @ 6:30 P.M.
Band Camp has been approved by the Board Of Education! There will be a very important meeting for next year’s band camp on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, 6:30 P.M., in the Greenville High School instrumental music room. Dates, cost, and payment/fundraising information will be available then.
Mum Sale
THE FALL MUM SALE ENDS TOMORROW (9/27). ORDER PICKUP WILL TAKE PLACE OUTSIDE THE BAND ROOM DOOR SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1. Please sell those mums! This fundraiser can go a long way to beefing up student accounts. This fundraiser is 50% profit, with 75% of it going to the student, and 25% going to the Greenville Instrumental Music Boosters. This can go a long way to fund band camp if taken seriously.
Order forms and money can be turned in at the booster box at the front of the band room.
Student Accounts
I will have a current count of student account balances sometime next week. If you would like to know how much money you have to put toward camp, and some of you have quite a bit, please check with me.
