Purpose of the Role:
Role holder is responsible for providing an efficient systems administration service of Oracle e-Business Suite, Hyperion Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service and other finance and HR systems.The role holder will be responsible for maintaining system integrity and compliance of these systems. Role holder will be the main point of contact to review and resolve any system queries.
The role holder will work with key users to develop a programme of system development and will assist the Senior Application Support Analyst in the upgrade of existing, and implementation of any future ERP systems.
Identification of process improvements within the finance and HR function and ensure all users are proficient in the use of the systems providing support and training appropriate to their needs.

Detailed PortfolioAccountabilities & Objectives(need to show substructure objectives to show the distribution of work across the directorate e.g. Collections Manager, Fraud Manager):
Main Roles & Responsibilities- Role holder is responsible for the development and maintenance of the systems administration of Oracle e-Business Suite and Hyperion Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service to ensure there are adequate controls over access to the system and over integrity of the data. This is to include maintenance of Chart of Accounts, HR Hierarchy etc
- First Line support to all users of Oracle e-Business Suite and Hyperion Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service; ensuring that any system decisions follow the correct accounting and HR practices and adhere to the appropriate security, controls and relevant data protection considerations
- Maintain and regularly review procedures on systems control and ensure they are being adhered to
- Identify, review and improve system processes to support the business processes
- Support month end, budget setting and year end finance activities. Ensuring integrity of the data during update of key reference data and Extract, Transform and Loads between systems
- Develop a suite of management information for key business managers to demonstrate effective controls are in place and to highlight exceptions. This will be met by utilising Oracle e-Business Suite and Oracle GRC
- Design, develop, and deliverreporting to users ensuring it meets their management information requirements. Ensure that any knowledge gaps where users can self-serve their reporting requirements are met
- Act as the principal point of contact for all queries/issues regarding the financial and HR systems. Escalate where necessary to line manager or work with managed service support to ensure a high quality support is delivered by the team
- Play a primary role in delivering training to all Oracle e-Business Suite and Hyperion users to ensure they have the skills required to use the system effectively
- Support the relationship with managed service provider to ensure that all SLC queries are resolved promptly
- Management of system customisations, patches, upgrades and system testing are carried out in line with Change Management procedures
- Lead/Support the delivery of enhancements in line with Accounting Systems plan
- Document and maintain system procedures and ensure documentation relating to Business Continuity plans is relevant
- Provide support for all Finance and HR systems including Payroll System, document management system, electronic banking, BACS links, PCM, Business Objects, APEX and cheque production
- Liaise with ICT to monitor system performance and work with managed service provider/Internal ICT to optimise system performance
- Liaise with managed support provider to assess future developments and make appropriate recommendations to management
- Identify opportunities for systems development or process improvements that would lead to improved efficiency in department
Key Outputs:
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience withinFinance and/or HR, preferably in a systems role, and preferably gained within financial services ora public sector environment.
- Experience of Oracle E-Business Suite and Hyperion is essential. Exposure to a range of other financial systems would be beneficial. It would be desirable for the Role holder to have had exposure or knowledge of;
- APEX
- Business Intelligence Reporting (Design and Development)
- Hyperion Calculation rules
- SQL
- An understanding of Technical Layers that underpin applications e.g. Hyperion Essbase, Databases, connectivity between systems etc
- Excellent organisation and planning skills
- Candidate should be accountable
