Scope
Thisdisciplineprocedureappliestoall players,coachesand membersof StocktonRFC.
Itspurposeistoensurethatactsoffoul playandmisconduct(on andoff thefieldof play)aredealtwithfairlyand expeditiously.
Any playersentoff by arefereeisimmediatelysuspended and unableto play again until his/hercasehasfinally been considered by the DurhamCounty RFUDisciplinaryPanel.
Action to be taken byStockton RFCSecretary ordelegated person
Playersentoff byreferee-In all casestheSecretary,or delegated person,mustreporttotheDurhamCountyRFU
DisciplinarySecretary,within 48hoursafterthematch,all relevant detailsrelating tothedismissal.Thisincludesthe player’sfull name,date ofbirth and leagueregistration number togetherwith thenameand societyofthereferee.
TheSecretarymustcall an internal disciplinaryhearing,attheveryearliestopportunity,togather thefull factsfromthe player and anyrelevantwitnesses. Basedon thefindings,considerationmustbegiven tothesanctionwhichtheclub should impose upon theplayer–seeAppendix2of Regulation 19in theRFUHandbook. Further consideration should be giventoanyre-training orongoing guidancetopreventrecurrenceof theincident.
InternalDisciplinaryPanel
Thispanel should consist of threesenior SRFCmembersand should bechaired bytheSecretaryor adelegated person. In extremecircumstancesit maybe possibletooperatewitha two person panel.Atleastonemember should bea currentsenior player.
Paymentof DCRFUDisciplinaryPaneladministrationfee
TheClubwillpayDCRFUDisciplinaryfeesforfullypaidupmembershowever,asadirectresult,expecttherighttocallsent off playersto accountfortheirbehavior.
